Interesting to see Clarke talking about green pitches and the possibility of dropping Lyon to play four seamers. It's probably just something to get England thinking, unless the selectors have been put off Lyon after his figures in the Essex game.

I'd quite welcome Lyon being dropped tbh, certainly with Harris out.

If England win, Michael Clarke will have lost all four Ashes tours he has been on, including the two he has led. He needs to try every trick to get England thinking.
Australia won't do anything drastic/dumb. Fully expect them to line up with Johnson, Hazlewood, Starc and Lyon.
Who will win? Australia.
What score? 3-2
Australian player of the tournament Steve Smith
English player of the tournament: Joe Root.
Breakout star: Adil Rashid (if he gets decent game time)
Most looking forward to? How both teams' spinners perform.
Least looking forward to? Piers Morgan, KP and their crew moaning on after a bad session, day, Test

Kudos to Pakistan - Khan is an excellent Test player and that's where he belongs. Yasir Shah has shone and intrigued how he develops
Who will win? Australia.

Right, so, Ashes predictions:

Who will win? Australia.
What score? 2-1, or 2-2 with the Aussies retaining.
Australian player of the tournament: Mitchell Starc, obviously.
English player of the tournament: Joe Root.
Breakout star: Josh Hazlewood.
Most looking forward to? Adam Lyth potentially showing that he and Cook can have a good partnership, and England proving everyone wrong by making it competitive.
Least looking forward to? The Australian smugness.

It'll kill me if that happens again. The guy hasn't scored any runs since the last Ashes ffs but it's just inevitable isn't it :colonhash:

No chance it'll be that one-sided imho.

I dunno man. I know the Aussies haven't done that well in England over the last few Ashes series, but I do think they have a seriously good team. I don't think it will be very one-sided, and do think that there will be some close games, just with Australia winning them.

We will see.
Australia
4-1
Johnson
Anderson
Hazlewood

It's time!
No surprise with the team selection, I think the conditions are going to make it very difficult to bat to begin with, 3/4 down by lunch.
