I know its early but this is England's game. Its going to be a repeat of the first, I would have thought Pakistan would have sorted their bowling attack out, they were more attacking in the test matches
!!!!!!!!!

Re: The Cricket Society IIIIt probably wouldn't have made a huge difference, since Dhoni likes to leave plenty for the last over regardless of the match situation to make him look like a hero. Or whatever BS reason he gives in the interviews.(Original post by areyouthere?)
In either sides favour.
Or made no change at all, since it was in the middle overs.
Though I'm a Sri Lankan fan, I do agree that ball would have likely got India some runs, since they got 9 off the other 5 deliveries, but that wouldn't have meant they would have won the match tho. Since that might have made Dhoni take a few more dot balls during the middle overs. lol :P -
Re: The Cricket Society IIIpretty stupid that no one, of all the officials and whatnot, couldn't notice that there was a 5 ball over!(Original post by Sunshine showers)
India's innings was one ball short, due to a counting error in the 30th over. That one ball could have obviously changed the game entirely considering it ended with the scores tied.
Easy to say that India would have won with that extra ball...could have been a wicket or a dot ball as well, no? Had they lost an extra wicket...they would've been bowled out! -
Re: The Cricket Society IIII agree with that, their team work is horrific.(Original post by nm786)
not bad,
if only umar akmal caught cook when he was on 28,
the fielding is quite poor tbh.
But, nothing could be said yet.
Guess i was right then

Re: The Cricket Society IIIWe already have 250.(Original post by nm786)
no you weren't right,
i was thinking they will make around 280,
250 is an achievable target,
we just need farhat and hafeez or some other pair to make a big partnership (so the others aren't put in a lot of pressure). I think if they do this, then, inshallah we will win. -
Re: The Cricket Society IIIbatting is not the issue, fielding is the biggest.(Original post by King-Panther)
No, the batting is the issue.
Its not a great total but may (more than likely) prove too much for Pakistan.
did you see how many singles and doubles were made due to poor fielding?
and so many fours could have been prevented easily.
We have got decent batsmen, we just need a pair to make a big partnership.
250 is an achievable score for pakistan. I mean the way england were going, around 280 would have been the target.
We'll see how pakistan try to reach the target. -
Re: The Cricket Society IIIi think it's achievable for pakistan.(Original post by y.yousef)
We already have 250. -
Re: The Cricket Society IIII think the nerves have got the best of them.(Original post by nm786)
i think it's achievable for pakistan.
