If we were match I could always eat a few more aubergine stews and rubarb crumbles if you prefered them cuddly

Re: Would you date a woman like this? Thanks for saying that before I did, I don't think s/he even understood what I wrote beforehand.(Original post by littleshambles)
So because you and one other person on this forum claim not to take drugs, his statement is wrong?

Certainly close to 100% of people know someone who drinks. While other drugs won't have such social penetration, a lot more people do them than people tend to believe...
On top of this, the majority of people know someone who does do drugs/heard stories. It surrounds us, even if it is a faint presence for some. -
Re: Would you date a woman like this?Sounds good to me. I'm not massively knowledgeable about art but whenever having discussions with some of the A Level artists I often seemed to have less knowledge on technique but better analytical skills than them. Also I love learning, particularly about creative things so that would be great.(Original post by MASeeker)

No meat, drink or drugs. Marxist.
I also don't eat meat and acknowledge that drinking and drugs aren't the be all and end all (but I drink anyway, healthily). I'm fairly left wing. I go through stages in my political views though.. I haven't set my views in stone yet but that's probably as I'm still fairly young. I would probably describe myself as socialist, so I don't think the Marxist views would be a problem at all as long as things were up for pleasant discussion.
Also it's funny to see Marxism getting so much stick. The only reason people are scared of communism is because the media and government have told them to be. -
Re: Would you date a woman like this?Aren't human beings complex? Must everybody do things that the many do?(Original post by oxm)
Probably because everyone sees drinking/drugs as a normal part of every day life... -
Re: Would you date a woman like this?I wouldn't date anyone based on such little information, but the 'profile' is certainly not off-putting. Quite the contrary, I might be encouraged to find out a little more.(Original post by MASeeker)

I'm fairly libertarian in my social views so there may be some lively political discussion. I don't eat meat either (vegan) but do drink, although rarely. Someone abstaining from recreational drugs (including alcohol) is totally cool with me and I don't even mind discussing the merits and demerits of such indulgence, as long as I don't feel like it is turning into a 'but it's so unhealthy and think of the children' rant. One of my partners doesn't drink at all and there is no friction or pressure because of that.
You sound potentially interesting, well educated (in your field) and talented.Last edited by Schmokie Dragon; 15-02-2012 at 16:06. -
Re: Would you date a woman like this?Stopped reading at this point. Unless the rest includes: genocidal maniac, person with track record in removing partners' members, or religious nut.. of course you'd chance a date(Original post by MASeeker)

P.S. I'd have her eating her Marxist views for breakfast by the end of said date

Re: Would you date a woman like this?Lol. This.(Original post by forgetamine)
I would if you did drugs.
Op, I'm not sure because you described yourself as "interesting" and "attractive".
People who describe themselves like this are unlikely to be either. -
Re: Would you date a woman like this?
In spite of the fact that sounds great, I won't have a date with her.
There are two reasons:
1) She is a Marxist. Although Karl Marx had realized the poverty at that time and analyzed right in my mind his solutions are an utopia: There is not a classless society around the world!
2) I want not a person no matter a male or female in my life.
No people have a place in my heart. Nearly not.
My slogan: Every man for himself! -

It would depend n how much the personalities clash and I'd (hypothetically) to know a lot more about you. I drink socially, I don't smoke or do drugs but do eat meat and lean to the centre-right politically with some odd quirks. I'm also somewhat academic, so there's another relation.
Dinner table conversations would be interesting, to say the least!
Someone's degree doesn't tell you an awful lot about them.
