    Preparing for vac schemes
    Hi all,

I've got a vac scheme coming up in Easter and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to prepare, if there was anything I could read, that sort of thing. For finance internships there are just so many books that you can read on the industry and even on internships themselves, but for law I don't have a clue.

At the moment all I'm really planning on doing is keeping up with the financial/legal press..

    Any ideas would be great!

    Cheers,

    Lucy

Read "All You Need To Know About The City" if you're particularly keen to impress - it's recommended on here quite a bit and it's pretty good. To be honest, most of the things you're asked to do during your VS can't be explicitly prepared for, it's more about your attitude while you're there. Be friendly, confident, proactive and keen to get involved.
