Re: Kerala SocietySouth India is more prosperous than Punjab/Delhi etc?(Original post by Origami Bullets)
It's a shame that there are very few S Indians - I always think it's much nicer than N Indian, but I guess it's a result of S India being more prosperous, so less reason to emigrate, so less people to set up S Indian restaurants (and I suspect that when S Indians do emigrate, they're better educated than most chefs). -

Re: Kerala SocietyYes depends what u think prosperous is... Like punjab there is agriculture in south india. There also lots of places with high manufacturing and development which is also a vital criterea for 'prosperity'(Original post by Straight up G)

Nah, they do it for individual states too, but I can't find much definitive info. That said, HDI is another way of measuring prosperity and Kerala ranks higher than many western nations, so fair enough.(Original post by Straight up G)
GDP per capita.
well... last time i checked GDP / capita figure was for the whole country, not individual states.
And please only post further if u have any meaningful questions about kerala
Thank you
Hahaha, fair enough. Out of curiosity, is that because you have relatives there (Kerala population in UAE is very high)? -
Re: Kerala SocietyThey don't know.(Original post by sachinisgod)
were your parents allright with ur bf?
He has got some hindu relatives on his dad's side, but him and his parents aren't religious at all. It doesn't really matter to me whether me parents think it's okay or not.
Nah, ain't got any relatives there but my boyfriend's company has relocated him there and I don't wanna be in England anymore so I'm going with him.(Original post by Straight up G)
