Yes depends what u think prosperous is... Like punjab there is agriculture in south india. There also lots of places with high manufacturing and development which is also a vital criterea for 'prosperity'

Nah, they do it for individual states too, but I can't find much definitive info. That said, HDI is another way of measuring prosperity and Kerala ranks higher than many western nations, so fair enough.

They don't know. He has got some hindu relatives on his dad's side, but him and his parents aren't religious at all. It doesn't really matter to me whether me parents think it's okay or not.
