Hi. I'm starting the OT course in UWE in sept too! :smile:

Is anyone travelling from Weston as I don't drive but will pay petrol costs. Was thinking of taking the train but due to childcare issues, I would prefer to car share. If anyone can help please let me know. Looking forward to meeting everyone in a few weeks! Jo

hey! glad to hear that you had fun at the pub last week. definatly have to do it again once we get started!
i am finally moved into my flat. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO exhausting! it all came together when my cheap-o sofa arrived yesterday!!!

Hi Debs ....Glad you are all moved in nightmare isnt it getting braodband, phones and stuff sorted...I do not even have sofa yet but am checking Gumtree every day for rich peoples cast offs ! as I live near Westbury on trym - v posh I think, are you In Bristolnext week as I am in tues - Friday at my Kabin ? hey karen....i bought one of those 'cast off' sofas from gumtree, lololol....not back up in bristol until sept 15th, so...will see you at school. hopefully we'll have some time to socialise once settled in. hope you find something to sit on babe! xxx

hey guys
hope everyone is enjoying the fab weather! not long to go now. I'm still not registered so havn't been able to get into the blackboard thingy for the timetables, groups or anything. There's going to be a big delay for me I think with my CRB due to coming from Ireland and the Irish police being totally incompetent! I rang admissions and they said not to worry so i'll try not to! I'm around the place if anyone is at a loose end and would like to meet up otherwise see ye on the 17th! x

Hey guys! I am wondering what everyone is doing about that immunisation form we have to bring with us. I have no idea if I ever had an MMR shot or any of the other info they request. What to do...<?> Are we required to go to the GP and have him sign it.....CONFUSED!

Anyway - just in case - I just rang my GP and they only have one record on my notes and that's from 1973! I definitely had a load more at school so will just have to see what I can remember!

Hi might be worth asking on the uwe thread too, there may be others doing another course or going the st mathais (which is just up the road) who may be interested in car sharing!

I remember a bit on the health form I think asking but it was only for us to sign and send back (it did ask if we gave permission for OH to ask the local health authority about immunisations I think!!!) Some how even after leaving the country I still have my records from at least the early 90s, I know my mum would have made us have every thing I think she enjoyed seeing others inflict pain on us lol!!!!

Have you all got mentors? I'm not quite sure whether we are supposed to have done that, or whether we'll get some guidance?

I'm still having trouble with the bursary too- been told we're not entitled to any means tested bursary at all and certainly not earning a fortune. It's a bit worrying- i'll have to busk with the banjo I got for my 40th, may need to get a lot better first though!!

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I was looking at last years prep page....So, we don't need to do that 700 word report? And...no worries about the immunisation paperwork?
