TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problems
Got a problem with using the site? Getting errors? Something not working? Report it here.

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsAre you using IE. We know about the problem there. I could be some hours before that is fixed. Are you able to use a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome?(Original post by The Polar Dude)
I wanted to reply in another thread but my cursor wasn't in the reply box. It was outside it, obviously as I'm typing now, the cursor is inside the box.
???
It does seem to be happening more often. I'd like to see it reduced/done. I know we can see if we click on the browsers back button but can you explicitly confirm if you also get it when normally clicking around the site too?(Original post by Idle)
I'm getting the pop up about leaving the page more often, or I have noticed it more often.. I can't go 5-6 clicks without it happening.
I'll try to check with someone else around the office.(Original post by Chrosson)
I'm writing this post in internet explorer 9 and there seems to be the same issue. Maybe try and reproduce it with that?
I too am using 16.0.912.77 m. However it's just wanting me to relaunch to finish an update, so let's see....
Just updated to 17.0.963.56 m and the same issue again.
Using windows 7 64 bit.
What OS are you using? And does the same thing happen on internet explorer 9 (assuming you have it accessible)?
Thanks. Not sure what the issue is here, but we'll look in to it.(Original post by whyumadtho)
Android. Pressing on the text in the white text box doesn't do anything. It used to open the keyboard and the text cursor. -
Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsWhen I was on the 1st page of this thread I clicked to go to the last and it appeared, so yes it seems so.(Original post by RK)

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsCould it just be happening with forums that have not seen a post since the upgrade? I've only seen examples which fit this pattern, which means things will gradually improve. If you know of an example that goes against this please let know.(Original post by Dalimyr)
In the forum view, it lists who made the last post in a thread and when (e.g. "Last Post: by Dalimyr 1 Minute Ago"
with what is supposed to be a link to the profile of the last user to post in the thread. It currently just links to member.php without passing the "u=" parameter so you get an error stating that the member doesn't exist.
I do know individual threads on forum pages are similarly affected though.
Yeah, the text editors in some (but not all locations) are affected.(Original post by riotgrrl)
I didn't go on that many before giving up and reporting it, but the same thing applied when trying to write on someone's wall or PM them, so I assume it was probably everywhere.
We've added the quick reply box back in for IE8.
If possible, I'd suggest using a browser other than IE, such as Chrome or Firefox.
OK, thanks(Original post by Idle)

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsWindows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit(Original post by RK)
What operating system are you all using.
I've just updated to 17.0.963.56 m and am still having the same problem.(Original post by Potally_Tissed)
Testing...
I have the same version of Chrome as TheCrackInTime and the Alt X / Alt S things work for me. -
Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsNo - it doesn't say that I'm still a sub, it just shows that I have enough credits and tells me to renew my sub at 399 credits(Original post by RK)
Hmmm...possibly just a side effect of the fact the site was down last night. If you can wait a little bit I shall look in to it shortly. If I can't force it to renew we might be able to extend your sub for a day and see if it renews automatically tomorrow instead...but just to confirm, if you go here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/payments.php - does it say your sub it still active? Definitely don't cancel it if it is and don't try and set up a new one for now.

And yep tried it on that too and on Safari 5, same issue.

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsYeah, we;ll try and get that back for you later today(Original post by Integral)
I no longer get the option to view the first unread post on a thread. I can do it from the forum view, but the icon is tiny and had to tap on my phone.
I'll see what I can do. We might need you to resub and give a refund etc...leave it with me...I'll be in touch about whether you need to do that.(Original post by natty_d)
No - it doesn't say that I'm still a sub, it just shows that I have enough credits and tells me to renew my sub at 399 credits
Thanks. That's a new issue to us. We'll try to get it sorted soon.(Original post by megfashion)

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsYeah please do. Take a look back end and see what the status of the sub is in there/what it says might happen. Also would be good to look to see if anyone else should have had paypal or credit subs renewing last night and what the status of those are. Then we need to keep an eye on those renewing today and over the weekend to ensure they do.

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problems
You need an actual bug tracker tbh.
Right, investigated a bit more.(Original post by RK)
Android 2.3.3 and year it's the built in browser...thanks for looking in to this - it's really great to have all you guys helping out in any way you can.
As a guest on 2.3.3: it is possible to change the colour scheme using the buttons at the bottom, but it loses it when you go to another page.
Logged in on 2.3.3, 3.0, 4.0.3: changing the colour scheme using the buttons at the bottom simply doesn't work. Going to customise TSR, selecting a colour and pressing save initially changes it (the screen saying 'your changes have been applied etc' is purple or whatever) but it then loses it when it automatically forwards you. In both cases, any attempted changes are saved and (when you clear your cache) will be displayed on your computer.
In summary I have no idea why it works for you. Are you trying it as a guest on your phone or something? Maybe try navigating to other pages?

I've retested for my phone and I actually fall in to one of your categories, so I can change the colour when logged in, but going to another page reverts it back.
Your post will be really helpful though, so I'll pass it on the devs for then they can look at this bug.
And yes, some sort of bug tracker would be really good to have. But we just have a forum for now, so we'll keep on using this for now

Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problems
Can't access the Mods forum which is a bit of a pain to be honest
It just downloads a .php file when I try to visit. Had to rename it to .txt to upload here.
Code:<?php if (strpos($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'], '10.2.2.') === false) header('HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable'); ?> <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> body { margin: 2em 0; text-align: center; background: #E7F2F8 url(bg_gradient.gif) repeat-x; } img { border: 0; } </style> </head> <body> <img usemap='#links' src='/maintenance.jpg'/> <map name='links'> <area shape='rect' coords='419,331,583,354' href='http://coursework.info' alt='Coursework.info' /> </map> </body> </html> -
Re: TSR is back! Let us know if you're experiencing any problemsAye, we're going to try and get that added back in soon(Original post by Jed123)
there is no 'view first unread post' button
