American taxpayers expect their money to be spent properly. We are not going to invest the resources of the American people into forces run by people who are sectarian."

Russia considers it very odd that the United States should consider allowing Iranian money to foster militant Islamism in Iraq by denying the Iraqi people funding. We need the Iranians' money!

Serbia is not suprised by this.

The US would never tolerate links with Iran, so this move makes sense for them. If the Iraqi Shi'a had any funding, they would join with the Iranians in casting out foreign forces.

Iran would like to clarify that it is a lie that we are funding terrorists in Iraq. The terrorists in Iraq are neither Sunni nor Shia.

Iran also reminds the US that we will have relations with whichever country we choose, and will not bullied by the US and told how to conduct ourselves.
