Re: Liverpool uni accommodationI have an unconditional offer too and that's the same halls I'm thinking of going to, what course are you doing?(Original post by zoeclarex)
Haha, I'll be 20 when I go so i'm more swayed towards choosing derby&rathbone tbh.. Because I obviously want a good social side of uni, but with carnatic being the more lively side or whatever I think i'd rather choose the slightly quieter campus haha! plus im hoping that i can get an ensuite room too :') x

Re: Liverpool uni accommodation
I'm getting really frustrated at this whole accommodation ordeal. I just can't decide. 100% sure that I will get self-catered, 'cause I've been cooking for myself for about 4 years now and prefer it that way. It's just that I would really want to be on-campus, but I AM a real socialite and love to party
. I would go to off-campus, but I'm from Finland and could really use the money that I would use on a bus pass for flight tickets back home... AAAARGH this sucks!

Re: Liverpool uni accommodationNoo not yet, they said they send out emails by mid april ish time(Original post by nockbe)
Have you had anything through about accommodation or do you know when they send out the emails so you choose? x

Re: Liverpool uni accommodationHaha, aw. Well i've heard that alot of international students get placed on the on-campus accommodation. I'm sure they'll be just as sociable halls as the ones off campus.. after all it will be full of students!(Original post by Wadewade)

Re: Liverpool uni accommodationI am thinking of choosing the on campus accommodation also because it looks really nice and it is close to where the courses will be. Liberty park or Prospect point are 100 pw, and if you can afford it, Vine court is opening in sept 2012 for new students at 120 pw, it looks really really nice(Original post by Wadewade)

would've wanted to go there... Right now considering off-campus... Difficult choices! BTW does anyone know which prices are correct, since there are ones (cheaper) on the accommodation open day pdf thing, and other ones on the uni's accommodation website...

Re: Liverpool uni accommodationI think those on their website are updated for 2012/2013(Original post by Wadewade)

Re: Liverpool uni accommodation
Does anyone know which accommodation contracts and such have to take their belongings with them during the vacation periods? I didn't fully understand this through the website... There's different headlines in http://www.liv.ac.uk/accommodation/f...-and-legal.htm and I'm just wondering which one applies to who, since there's first the "Greenbank and Carnatic residence" and then later "Self-catering"... I is confus

Re: Liverpool uni accommodationGreenbank is better, Carnatic looks likes a prison imo which totally put me of it as a choice. Greenbank overall is a nicer place, inside and out. Also there aren't many en-suites so they will go to people who have mitigating circumstances/disabilities and mature students so unless you fall under that category your chances will be slim.(Original post by tara_gilmore)
Which is better Greenbank or Carnatic? Also, what are the chances of getting en-suite? -
Re: Liverpool uni accommodationIv just put Liverpool as my firm for occupational therapy, I only have a conditional though so fingers crossed il see you there in September
I missed all the open days though so I have no clue wheres the best halls! I definately don't want catered and I also reallly want an en suite so iv been looking at private halls like opal court and Cambridge court. Have you heard of these/would you recommend?
It's so confusing!

Hope you do, good luck with exams and things!!
I put Derby&rathbone self-catered ensuite first, then d&r self-catered, then just put roscoe n gladstone catered as my 3rd.. I've not really heard much about the other private halls.. if you look at some threads posted by LJMU students then you might get a better idea as the uni like hires out a lot of rooms to their students in those kinda places! x -
Re: Liverpool uni accommodationAt the end of the day mate- you love to party! So it's gotta be off-campus. I'm a socialite too and I could not survive my first year at univerisity without having a mental social life(Original post by Wadewade)

Re: Liverpool uni accommodation
Wondering if anyone can help me..
Iv just recieved an offer for my first choice accomodation which was prospect point. I was secretly hoping I wouldn't get my first choice because I was having second thoughts about going there! If I decline that offer will I recieve an offer from my other two choices? Or will i be completely struck off? I have an unconditional offer now so thereafter still time before the majority of people get there results!
Thanks in advance, hope someone can give me some advice! -
Re: Liverpool uni accommodationProbs best accepting the offer than maybe ringing them up tomorrow about it all! x(Original post by abs3417)
