Meh, maybe no one in here will agree with me, but I personally really love the way the TOWIE girls do their makeup (they look better on TV than in those photos though). Especially Lucy and Lydia, they always look the best done . A bit of a shame that some people can't see the art in it, but oh well *shrugs*

I don't wear makeup except for a bit of mascara and this thread made me feel so much better! Thanks! Because I was into impression that girls who cake themselves on makeup are mostly to be liked by guys!!!

I must say, Lydia is absolutely stunning. She dresses in a really classy way, never goes over the top with her makeup and - from what i've seen on the show - also seems to have a lovely, classy personality. She's obviously intelligent too - seeing as she owns and runs her own business.

Edit: I'm not suggesting it matters at all how a woman dresses or does her makeup - that's up to her. I'm simply suggesting that it's shallow that some men value this above personality and intellect.

I totally agree . Although, she can be a little whiny and dramatic when it comes to James Arg . But apart from that, she seems cool . I reckon some of the TOWIE people don't get enough credit tbh. Even if people don't want to care about them, which is fine, there's no need for all the hate and complaining they get when they don't even really do anything wrong apart from having a bit of fun.

Personally, I take issue with any woman who strips down to her underwear - or less - for a lads' mag or page 3. So that covers a large majority of the female cast of TOWIE. However, girls like Lydia are roped in with the rest of them and judged based on very little.

I completely agree. There are many intelligent, fun, interesting women who use a lot of makeup. It's just that - after two series of TOWIE - some of the girls in question appear to be a little simple and more focused on matters such as fashion and romance, rather than society or current affairs. I think that's a shame but i certainly don't think it makes them less worthy human beings. It just bothers me that some women are willing to let down their gender by posing nude for the pleasure of men.
