    Reading and Leeds Thread 2012
After Melvin's promise of 'fantastic' bands I've been persuaded into going to Leeds again...

    Are you going?

Who do you predict will play?

Who do you want to see?

    Line Up and Rumours

After last year I am never booking, nor planning to book, a ticket until after the line up is announced. I lost nearly £100 on re-selling my ticket.

    Almost certainly going.

    Headliners - Foo Fighters/ Killers / Blur

Tbh i reckon that would be awesome.

Not looking forward to finding 200+ quid though

I'm debating it, although the rain and mud really ruined last year for me, plus the fact that almost everyone there was about 15/16! But if the line up is actually as amazing as they're saying it's gonna be I could be persuaded..

As soon as we came back from Leeds 2011 we've been planning to go to 2012! I would say the music is about 80% of the festival experience though. I realllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hope Noel Gallagher (unlikely) Greenday (possible) and The Blackout (almost certain) are gonna play!

I know what you mean, I don't mind younger kids going after all I was 16 when I first went, but I at least knew a lot of the acts playing that year. I heard someone basically say (in 2010) 'I only know Dizzee Rascal and Pendulum'. I don't understand why they don't just go to V or something instead....

Got my ticket in the presale

BTW the "leaked" line ups are completely fake, lead singer of Slipknot confirmed on Twitter they're not playing R&L. - slightly relieved because the leaked lineups have been crap.

Foo Fighters are definitely playing. Green Day are heavily rumoured and I'm indifferent. As are The Killers and Kasabian -_-

    My predictions:
Bloc Party (currently recording an album)
    Foals (also in the studio)
The Hives (possibly, they're another band in the studio)
    Arctic Monkeys (maaaybe)
Blur (reforming for Brits and Hyde Park gig so relatively likely, but Hyde Park gig could be exclusive)
    Howler
    Bombay Bicycle Club
    Two Door Cinema Club
    Metronomy
Tribes (bands that play the NME awards tour that year usually play R&L)
    The Black Keys
Queens of the Stone Age (releasing an album this year, played Glasto last year so not too sure)

nice predictions, im definitely rooting for the black keys to play. was hoping for blur too but it's been announced that Hyde park is their only major gig which is disappointing :[[

I noticed that too. Would be amazing if they are there. I got tickets for their Hyde park gig too so would be cool to see em twice

Well that lasted long, Blur have been removed and The Cure have been moved to 'TBC'.

Can't complain with Kasabian, The Cure and Foo Fighters! :woohoo:

Kasabian, Foo Fighters and The Cure would be awesome headliners. Even two out of the three would be good enough.

Really hoping Black Keys will be there, fingers crossed as they're "strong rumour".

    That's fantastic!

Also (as your TSR pic would suggest) you might be pleased to hear that Vaccines are a strong rumour now too
