Re: Creamfields 2012
I think i'm going for Creamfields this year, got a few things i'm a bit unsure about if anyone can help me out?
Firstly the alcohol limit of a crate and a plastic bottle of spirits, does anyone know what the sizes are for these? are we talking 1 litre or like a 500ml water bottle?
Also not being able to leave, do they sell alcohol in little stores there or is it purely down to what you bring in yourself? (went to reading last year and we could just leave and walk to the tescos up the road to stock up)
and finally i heard you're not allowed fires, does that include disposable barbecues?
Cheeerss -
Re: Creamfields 2012Hey, I'm in the same boat as you, was at Reading last year, first time at Creamfields this year.(Original post by WH1892)

As far as I know it's a litre bottle we're allowed, and they do sell alcohol on site. Obviously it's not particularly cheap though - I'd imagine same sort of prices as Reading was, so I'm budgeting to take quite a bit of money with me!
Not sure about the bbqs! -

Re: Creamfields 2012
I'm really excited for:
Saturday: Avicii; Sebastian Ingrosso; Alesso; David Guetta; Example; Above & Beyond; Steve Angello; AN21 & Max Vangeli; Benny Benassi; Eric Prydz; Skrillex; Madeon
Sunday: deadmau5; Calvin Harris; Tiësto; Axwell; Hardwell; Paul van Dyk; Laidback Luke; Wolfgang Gartner; Knife Party
I don't know how I'm going to choose which tent to go to. Saturday looks especially tough! But I'm looking forward

Re: Creamfields 2012Bring your friends anyway, they won't regret it(Original post by sii217)
Soo want a ticket for this, the lineup looks sickk. None of my friends are particularly into dance music though. I don't think going alone is really a good idea is it?
-
Re: Creamfields 2012That's a shame. I can't imagine going alone, unless you really wanted to. I'm sure you'd meet people, but I wouldn't go alone. But I'm sure it wouldn't hurt suggesting it to your friends.(Original post by sii217)
Haha I know they won't but I don't think they'd be willing to take the risk unless I paid for their tickets, which unfortunately would be waay too much money. -
Re: Creamfields 2012You won't be able to walk to the nearest shop, it's a couple of miles to morrisons!
also the reason you can't leave, there really is nowhere to go, and the police lock down the local roads for the weekend. Plus there has been trouble in the past with locals complaining, tbh, it's lucky it got a license at all, as a number of rich and influential people live just the other side of the road from the site!
fires in the past few years have caused a lot of damage to the land, which is farmland for the rest of the year, so the decision was made to ban fires. Not sure about the disposable barbie, you would have to check.
btw, I'm not just guessing here, my parents live close to the site, and i went to school with the lad who farms the land

Re: Creamfields 2012
The lineup is literally EVERYONE I like - I counted all the DJ's I'd want to see....46. Shame none of my friends are into dance music (and I live the other end of the country), or enough into it they'd buy a ticket. They're all going to Reading or Beach Break
I'm tempted to buy one anyway and then somehow find people going. Or settle for Beach Break, it's still decent.
Also, I've heard Creamfields has more drugs than a pharmacy. What is it with dance music and drugs? I don't see people taking MDMA to enjoy a Coldplay or Lady Gaga concert. Is it just me who absolutely loves dance/house/trance and has never taken drugs, nor do I want to, and tbh I can't see how I could enjoy my music any more than I do stone cold sober or just on alcohol. Surely if people need to take Class A substances just to make listening to the lineup bearable, they clearly don't love it (hence why go to the festival anyway?)...Anyone care to enlighten?Last edited by Marsha2112; 04-03-2012 at 16:34. -
Re: Creamfields 2012
Lineup is amazing, already got my ticket for T in the Park though, the money saving starts today to hopefully afford both festivals!
1xtra stage on Saturday and Mistajam stage on Sunday are basically where I would stay all day, and the fact that KOAN Sound are performing just makes it essential to attend

loving the radio 1 extra and mistajam presents sets
