I understand that choosing which university to go to is an entirely independent decision, but I'd be interested in hearing other people's opinions.
I have offers from St Andrews and KCL to study philosophy, and am completely torn between which to choose as my firm (I don't want to have one as firm and one as insurance).

Both courses look great, but the ability to change to joint honours with IR at St Andrews appeals to me, whilst the flexibility of the KCL modules is also a positive factor. In terms of prestige, St As seems to be well respected domestically but KCL seems to be more of a worldwide contender. I spend a lot of time in London so am comfortable there but would also appreciate living somewhere more rural.

I'm curious which one you would pick, which one you see as more prestigious, etc.

Kings, Do they still give out the cool folders? because if they do that would be a game changer for me. Those folders will last through a friggin hurricane!

I think because both are such good unis, it's really about what you would prefer living in. The question you should ask is small town or big city
