Accommodation with friend
just wanted to know if Aston have system put in place such as Manchester, where you and a friend can be put into the same halls
Possibly, you could ask. I got an email saying that if I wanted to apply to halls next year too I could fill out some extra details if I wanted to live with people I knew, unsure for freshers though.
My advice would be to not live in the same flat as people you already know from school or college, part of living in halls is your chance to make new friends. You can still see your mates often anyway.

There is a comments box on the accommodation signup so you request things like living with friends. Even if you didn't do this the accommodation blocks are under five minutes walk from each other
