The 'neo-noir' style in the film Brick was too quirky for me to appreciate it at all and it just got too annoying by the end of the movie leaving me almost angry at how much I didn't enjoy the experience.

    Man I hated that film.

THIS!! I really did not like that movie. I only watched it recently and was disappointed because it was so bad and was really expecting it to be good. And yeah I felt that there must be something I missed too. I honestly don't get why people like it
Probably because it's about the male psyche. Stick to Confessions of a Shopaholic, sounds more like your kind of thing.

Personally, I can't STAND Mumma Mia.. Found the whole thing a cringefest with a horrifically weak plot.

Also, (one which my female friends can't forgive me for) I get really irratated by Colin Firth...

Requiem for a Dream is ****ing terrible in every way possible
Well, not saying you have to like it, but I would be quite interested to hear what you disliked about it in particular.

On topic, The Hangover and The Hangover 2 are not funny at all.

I cannot stand any film that involves Jack Black. He just jumps around a lot, screams a bit and needs a haircut pronto. His acting skill is mediocre at best and School of Rock was boring.

You quite possibly have the worst taste in movies i have ever seen :P
I know a lot of people who would agree with you on that. :P Been meaning to give Star Wars and LotR another chance though.

I really like the film 'How to rob a band and tips to get away with it' though most people I recommend it to say it's terrible, ah well.

It deeply frustrates me that most films fail the Bechdel test.

All star wars films are awful. 4-6 look incredibly dated compared to other films from that time that didn't have special effects. (I know they were great in their day; I remember being amazed at the 1st Jurassic park, but it looks pretty bad now.

Get Him to The Greek was much funnier than The Hangover.

The Dark Knight is the 2nd most boring film I have ever seen (after Transformers II).

    • I don't enjoy Stanley Kubrick's films. I can see the skill involved with making them, but they don't hold any interest for me.

    • The opinions of critics does matter.

    • It's fine for there not to be a consensus about a film. Nowadays everyone seems to think that films are either good or bad, and anyone who doesn't agree is an idiot. It's perfectly fine if you didn't like Avatar, I still enjoyed it.

    • In a similar vein, those who look down on others for their opinions are awful people. You are not better than me because you think Inception is a simple film, and I am not better than you just because I happened to overthink it.

    • I find it difficult to enjoy animated films, and actively avoid them.

    • Zack Snyder is a terrible director.

    • Institutional sexism and racism are two huge problems in Hollywood that need to be addressed.

    • An editor is often more directly responsible for your enjoyment of a film than the director or anyone else, yet 99% of the people in the cinema don't know their name and that is a shame.

the matrix makes not sense in terms of it's plot is broken, how do neo's powers transcend the matrix into the real world, why would the machines stop killing everyone if neo went to the mainframe? is the architect a human whodesigned the matrix or a machine?
Thats why as far as I'm concerned, there are no sequels for the matrix.

3D is and always has been a money making gimmick. It is not advancing the film industry.
i think its doing the opposite, dumbing down the film industy, not that thats hard.

The majority of the acting in the film was ****, and the old woman overracted to an annoying extent
I did not care about the characters one bit. In the first scene, one steals his mothers TV, the other is a drug dealer, one is unfortunate, but I didn't really like her anyway.
The camera effects were overused, to the point where instead of being interesting effects they were annoying.
It was so goddamned inaccurate, people can inject in different places than that ONE in their arm, especially if it is gangrenous or whatever was wrong with it.
I don't know how to put my finger on how, but the whole damn thing reeked of pretention.

I just sat there bored for the entirety of it. I knew nothing about the film before watching it, not the director, not the actors, or anything about it, other than it was in IMDB top 250. Sometimes when I watch films like that they are epic - I knew nothing about pulp fiction before watching it.

I know people slag me off for watching silly action films like shoot em up and crank, but at least I find them entertaining.

It's a funny system where (but for a few exceptions) the Hollywood producer gets or is given an idea for a film and pays a writer to flesh it out. The writer then creates their version of the film. Then the director comes along with a cast and they make their version of it. And then the editor gets to make a film out of the pieces they've filmed. A good editor could probably make a film with poor writing and acting passable and definitely rescue a film from poor directing. And yet poor editing and people will hate the film.

    Happily.
The films were so bad that I consider them like an unintentional comedy, which is a terrible thing in a film.
Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor are fantastic. Those two just make the first film in my opinion. And let's not forget the brilliance of Christopher Lee.
ahh good days the re-release of the first film gives me a perfect excuse to watch them allover again hehe
