Hope the external examiner's meeting went well!

I had planned to go visit Morecambe and Lancaster's city centre and woke up to heavier episodes of rain than yesterday x__x And I haven't even bought my unbrella yet haha Don't worry about the weather putting anyone off...besides, I think the views around here more than make up for that. I think I'll just venture outside anyway and risk growing some gills and webbed feet haha

Yeah - weather's awful - but the olympic torch is going through Morecambe and Lancaster today. My friends and I are going to walk halfway to town at lunchtime...too bad we don't have kayaks!

Aww - I saw it from Booths (partway between town and uni) and also got soaked! We don't usually get quite this wet here!

That's a bit relieving I walked into Morecambe today..at around 5...needless to say there was no one outside and I feared for my umbrella's physical integrity when I walked around the Battery (pity it seems so abandoned...). Then I started fearing for mine even if I come from a place near the sea that gets really gusty and stormy (of course that is only during winter and maybe during the odd february summer rain -southern hemisphere)

Hehe, I do find it more windy here than home (Southern England, and about an hour from the coast), but there are only some days where it's so windy you feel like you'll get blown sideways. There have been a few gusts like that today!

I very quickly decided that I couldn't be bothered with an umbrella here - sometimes it's fine - but I've often seen people's umbrella's blown inside out.

I'm 1.58 cm..(I think that's 5.2 in feet?) so I DID get blown sideways. No surprise lol Good thing no one was around to watch
