Re: Ιs Leicester a nice city?Haha if your up for a lot of racism go! I work in Leicester and there can be a fair amount of discrimination due to certain members of society against women, especially white ones.
Its the main reason we moved tbh, its starting to get better but if you have housing on the golden mile there can also be some abuse. If your a guy though and sensible there shouldn't be too much trouble if you keep your head down. -

Re: Ιs Leicester a nice city?It's very multicultural - it's predicted to be the first place in the UK where white Britons are in the minority, with people from Indian backgrounds currently making up about a quarter of the total population.
That said, I liked it when I visited it and it was my insurance choice. -

Re: Ιs Leicester a nice city?Having lived near Leicester all my life, as well as hoping to go to Leicester uni in September, I've always found it a very nice and welcoming city. People are right when they say that Leicester is very multiculural, which is a great advantage for the city in my opinion, but there is also a great student population there and the nightlife is excellent
