UCL and grade requirements

I noticed on there website they require a B in english language and a C in a modern foreign language.
Firstly I see I can do the MFL there but does it still disadvantage applicants and also do they enforce the B in english language rule, I attained a B in english literature but unfortunately only a C in english language. English was always a weak point of mine :frown:

Cant you just retake it? I got an interview with BBB at A-Level (when there was no A*s) and 6 B's 3 C's at GCSE. B in French and B in English Language though.

I think it may already be to late in the year, I just dont want to apply and then find there was never a chance, I will just have to ring up the admissions office and they should be able to answer.
