open university starting with psychology
Hi everyone this is my 1st thread, so I would like to introduce myself.
I am currently waiting to start my y183 course with the open university, which begins on the 1st March 2012.
I hope I can meet others who are doing this course too. Please get in touch if you have done or are about to embark on this course.
Look forward to hearing from you all.

Re: open university starting with psychologyWith it being an openings course, you'll get a lot of questions about how you feel your learning is going as you progress along the course.(Original post by karren)

Re: open university starting with psychologywould you recommend the course then I am hoping to do some sort of mental health in the future. what is it you do now ? did you do any other studies with the OU.(Original post by GreatUnderachiever)
I done this course it's allright.
Just know for yourself you need an MA to specialise in Psychology or a PhD if you want to be a general psychologist. A BA is not enough these days. -
Re: open university starting with psychologyTake a look at some of the suggested pathways, especially the mental health one, of the Health and Social Care degree. As you're an existing student you don't have to follow them exactly and you don't have to complete a degree but they are a good guide.(Original post by karren)
