Hi everyone this is my 1st thread, so I would like to introduce myself.

I am currently waiting to start my y183 course with the open university, which begins on the 1st March 2012.

I hope I can meet others who are doing this course too. Please get in touch if you have done or are about to embark on this course.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

I did this course back in 2010 - its really interesting and it covers a lot of different things.

Are you looking to go down the psychology degree route?

With it being an openings course, you'll get a lot of questions about how you feel your learning is going as you progress along the course.

Hi, after that course I did DD131 Introducing the social sciences - part one and I'm now on part two. I'm aiming for the BA/BSc Combined Social Sciences, after one more TMA I will get the Certificate of Higher Education in Social Sciences.

I done this course it's allright.

Just know for yourself you need an MA to specialise in Psychology or a PhD if you want to be a general psychologist. A BA is not enough these days.

Take a look at some of the suggested pathways, especially the mental health one, of the Health and Social Care degree. As you're an existing student you don't have to follow them exactly and you don't have to complete a degree but they are a good guide.

There's also the Psychology degree of course.

Going on to study a combination of Business and English language courses now, not psychology.
