What do you think of an 18 year old using a dating site?

So basically, I'm at uni and I'm single. It's boring. (I'm a girl btw) I'm fairly attractive and I'm not a social retard or anything like that but I am really shy. I don't really socialise with guys a lot and because of my shyness I probably make a bad first impression as I don't say much at first, but once I get to know people its fine. Anyway I'm fed up of being single and out of boredom one night I browsed a dating site and saw there are loads of elligible guys on there! But I'm in two minds whether to join or not, as I find the whole thing a bit embarrassing. But if I find someone amazing on there, it'll be worth it I guess right? Any thoughts? Thanks

what have you got to loose you can always try it?
also it may give you a bit more confidence and let you out of your shell a bit more =]
