Hey Guyz... My name is Salman...
I am a current postgrad student enrolled in this course...
ask me anything you wanna know in particular and I will be glad to help...
cheers !!
What's the employability like in that course? Do most of you hold a job offer?
What about the workload?
Cheers! -
Re: WBS MSc Marketing & Strategy 2012/13
Well the employability in the UK overall is quite bad now... so unfortunately the international students are finding it hard to land up a job.... but EU students are getting very gud job offers...
As far as workload goes, the first term is the most busiest and u have to be really up for it... then on, its all cool -

Re: WBS MSc Marketing & Strategy 2012/13
Hey guys,
I am currently on the course as well, myself and my coursemates were quite disappointed with it.. But we gave loads of feedback so your course should be much better next year hopefully
Jobs are REALLY hard to get if you're non-English and you are applying for London-based jobs. It's not because of warwick but because of the current economic conditions. But all the people that applied outside the UK generally got an offer.
The workload is very high in term 1 with a lot of presentations and exam revisions at the same time. Term 2 gets slightly better but still a lot of groupwork. And Term 3 is quite chilled...
For the accommodation, if you're unlucky and don't get on campus; you might get Leamington (where I am and I absolutely love it) or Coventry (i'll be honest, the place is horrible but has a good karaoke bar). Some of my friends rejected their coventry offers and looked by themselves for accommodation in Leamington. So it's possible!
I am currently in Union Court, Leamington, if anyone gets it, feel free to ask!
Hope this helps, I remember how curious I was last year

Re: WBS MSc Marketing & Strategy 2012/13I'd be interested in that too.(Original post by karina71291)
Hii, in what way were you'll disappointed with the course?
Just accepted my offer (over Aston, St Andrews, Aarhus/Denmark). -
Re: WBS MSc Marketing & Strategy 2012/13
We were disappointed as the course was quite theoretical and quite superficial. The department was also quite rude and unresponsive to our queries and concerns. The course coordinators were really good and they managed to get a high feedback from us to make the adequate changes for next year (your year). I hope you will be satisfied of the changes we triggered
Yeah c.fly I refused St Andrews for Warwick as well, it was a tough decision :/ -
Re: WBS MSc Marketing & Strategy 2012/13Wow, thanks a lot. For your reply and the effort of improving the program.(Original post by Frenchie 101)

This actually sounds like something I exactly did not want for my masters degree.
Especially since I graduated at a BS in Europe which is very known for its Marketing expertise & research. So I have been through theory enough.
Damn, I chose Warwick in order to gain more Marketing & Strategy insights (deeper than at BSc elective level) and most of all being set for my first job.
This is quite disillusioning.
Thanks anyway -

heyy! All of you seem to have aced it well. I am rather late and finalising my PS. Any tips? Plus do you need to outline a specific career for the Msc Marketing and Strategy PS required?
What grades in your undergrad leave you a hope for getting in?
I am still writing on mine as well... Why late?
