Re: University of Nottingham Accommodationst peters court is much quicker to get to uni than BGP. i live there now and we have a free bus that takes 10 minutes to get to main campus, that would take someone from BGP 20 minutes to walk, and its closer to town, which means cheaper taxis and stuff on nights out, we even walk back sometimes!(Original post by Kasarna)

Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationI was in your position last year, St Peters court is the best off campus hall by far! all the rooms are en suite, and we get a free bus to campus, so its actually quicker to get to lectures for us than most other halls, even those on campus, because you might be staying in halls that are far from your lectures etc. You've definately made the right choice, and my advice is to get involved with EVERYTHING in first term! good luck with your exams x(Original post by stevie_94)
All the ensuite rooms at broadgate park are gone, so I am going to put st peters court down, any idea of what it is like? -
Re: University of Nottingham Accommodation
Hi.
I have an offer for Ensuite BGP accommodation, and I have until tomorrow to decide.
I really want a great social atmosphere, and I am torn between Catered and Non-Catered (UP accommodation).
Can anyone shed some wisdom on the social aspect of BGP? Are there JCRs and are kitchens etc. a good place for socialising? (and the bar)?
Thanks

Re: University of Nottingham Accommodation
hey guys!
I've applied for an ensuite studio flat at BGP as my first choice :/ but im thinking of asking if I can change this as i think i would be isolating myself from everyone. I'm aware this is the first year the ensuite studios have been offered to undergraduates does that mean i may be surrounded by many postgraduates?? Is it worth changing??

Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationI have an ensuite studio flat for September and I'm just a third year. I imagine it'll be quite mixed. You'll probably have to put a bit more effort into socialising but you won't be isolated or anything.(Original post by studybuddyhalian:))

Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationThere's still ensuites left in University Park?(Original post by DarrenDM)
No ensuite rooms left, whats the next best? -
Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationOh I don't know which halls, but if you to the online application thing and select University Park, you can see that ensuite rooms are still available, they're not 'greyed out'.(Original post by DarrenDM)
Are there? Which halls?
I haven't firmed Nottingham just yet but reading on here and on the Nottingham site says that ensuite is fully booked? -
Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationThanks and good luck with getting your preferred accommodation!
I've been stressing this whole week between firming Leeds and Nottingham! Time is really running out and I want to get my accomondiation all sorted soon!
I'll most likely decide by tomorrow evening, most likely will be Nottingham
When you applied for accommodation, were all en suite rooms on University Park full? My friend applied yesterday and he said you can still pick the option but it says full next to it (or something?) -
Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationNo there were still some left I believe! There were 2 types of ensuites I think and one of them was full, the other wasnt! You too good luck with deciding and your accommodation application(Original post by DarrenDM)

Re: University of Nottingham Accommodation
I was in Lenton and Wortley hall about 4 years ago and loved it. The food at tea time was pretty poor, (yet edible) but you can fill up quite well at lunchtimes with nice baguettes or paninis and chocolate muffins! I'd say the main campus hall atmosphere makes up for the poor food.
In terms of room type I shared a bathroom with just one other and I was really happy with that. I don't think ensuite is really needed, as shared bathrooms encourages more socialisation as it forces you out of your room and to talk to those around you!! -
Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationA studio is a single bed, little kitchenette and an ensuite. They're quite nice (I'm having on in September!) and it took me a couple of weeks to get my offer.(Original post by MedicineBug)
Applied for Studio at Broadgate yesterday, anyone know what comes with the studio? And how long does it take to get an offer? -
Re: University of Nottingham AccommodationThanks, I haven't had a chance to go and see the accommodation. Do you know if it comes with items such as a kettle, toaster, iron + ironing board? And is there an oven? I couldn't see from the pictures. Thanks again(Original post by ParadoxSocks)
