Re: Jaguar/Land Rover Apprenticeship SchemeHow?!(Original post by sambaynham)
With regards to the group exercise it is possible to get the generator in to the room, was a challenging task and only just finished with no time to spare!
From what I remember, the actual doorway entrance to the room was 6 or 12inches too short for the generator to fit in, even without its pallet (which one of the others in the group said it cannot be moved without its pallet).
The only conclusion we came to was that the doorway would need to be modified to get the generator in?
On another note, got all my paperwork through today. I think it probably cost JLR about a tenner to post, it weighs about the same as the moon! No joke, probably close to 100 A4 sheets and then a smaller booklet which is about an inch thick! -
Re: Jaguar/Land Rover Apprenticeship SchemeYes Travis, got my rejection e-mail today after completing the last stage on the 23rd July..(Original post by travispickle)

Re: Jaguar/Land Rover Apprenticeship SchemeThat's incorrect it was 14x19 with packaging on and whilst it had this on one of the door dimensions was 12x "some bigger number" and so while one side is 14 it won't fit but the packaging was taken off all sides and came out to be less than that.(Original post by Turkish91)

We closed the road got it round the back, took the packaging off on a day it wasnt raining, then got it inside on internal forklifts, then to the installation bay using a trolly on the other side, lowering the forklift arm over the lip of the bay.
the main problem was we spent 10 mins debating what day to do it on because of the rain, it was mostly diversionary tactics, the way it was designed lol.
Hopefully I'll hear back soon had my assessment on the 18th for the higher >< -
Re: Jaguar/Land Rover Apprenticeship SchemeI had mine on the 18th, still nothing >< where was yours ?(Original post by CrypticG)
i don't get why it is taking so long.. i mean they should know whether they are going to make you an offer or not? considering people heard back a good couple of weeks ago being both successful and unsuccessful its weird -

This is exactly what we did except stored it in the delivery bay until the rain stopped, took a while to get there with the diversionary tactics like you say! -

Re: Jaguar/Land Rover Apprenticeship Scheme
I'm beggining to think they're doing it in stages, no idea what these stages are, but I hope thats what it is. Everybody I know has heard back now it's just me waiting, I don't know about you but im so anxious! My heart goes crazy everytime I check my email and its a stupid PPI claim. I really want to email or phone them but I know the response will just be "We are behind on applications and will get to you within this week or next" It's frustrating
It's the not knowing!
