Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsMight have to do that seeing as Sussex and Kent have MUN's.(Original post by MidnightShadow)
I have no clue, but if not and other people want one, you could always start one
-
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsI'm sure there will be lots of people around who would want to join in, if there isn't one already. I don't know the soc website is up to date though... so there is a chance there is one!(Original post by PierceBrosnan)

Yeah, I suppose. Although they have a Lib Dem society so they probably haven't updated it.(Original post by MidnightShadow)

Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsYeah, I don't suppose they need to put it up since they already have a Conservative Soc(Original post by PierceBrosnan)

Re: UEA 2013 Applicants
UEA is the only university I am applying to in 2013. I thinking of doing a Politics and Media degree as I want to do something related to the civil service, media and maybe work with young people?
I went to UEA in July and just loved it there. I'm going back in October just before I send off my UCAS application. Mainly to get to know the place and people there.
The location is also brilliant, with most of my family living under an hour away and Norwich is just a perfect city.
I'm just scared I'll get rejected or my personal statement will be ****. :s -
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsIf you're so worried, then why not apply to more then 1 uni? It can't hurt to have a back-up plan, can it?(Original post by rustamyyeah1)

Have you thought about posting your Personal Statement on the P.S part of TSR? They're really helpful and can give you some great pointers at where you could make it better! -
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsTheres definitley no MUN one and I'm pretty sure no Lib Dem society.(Original post by PierceBrosnan)
Does UEA have a MUN or Lib Dem society? I can't them on their ClubSoc site.

Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsAfter some google searches I came across this(Original post by jelly1000)
Theres definitley no MUN one and I'm pretty sure no Lib Dem society.
http://www.freewebs.com/uealibdems/
So there is a Lib Dem Society but there not on the club soc.
Didn't find a MUN though so if I do go to UEA. I'll find a way to set one up, unless someone's already beaten me to it. -
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsIf you have a look on that website its from 2006, certainly this academic year gone the Lib Dem Society was inactive.(Original post by PierceBrosnan)

. But I'm applying for 2 or 3 courses - just to have fingers in more than one pie of the same flavour so to speak
I'm personally applying to both chemistry & pharmacy, so maybe something to consider is applying for 2 or 3 courses within the same uni
-
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsThat's a great idea. I would apply to more than one uni, however UEA is the only Uni I want to go to so if I didn't get in, I wouldn't go to university aha.(Original post by DoDoBeDo)

Good luck in getting in! xx -
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsI'm the same! Ha. I applied to more than one last year (2 courses at UEA though) & really regretted it (not only was I skint because of petrol etc but I just didn't like any of them like I loved UEA) so this year I decided that no matter what, I was going to apply to the UEA & if I don't get in... well I'll worry about that this time next year!(Original post by rustamyyeah1)

Re: UEA 2013 Applicantsive not heard of any full courses that are "silly" but there are a few units, the only one that i can think of atm is witchcraft (basicaly a history module focusing on witchcraft as far as i know)(Original post by DoDoBeDo)
Not to my knowledge. Though they may offer silly modules but they offer generally a high standard of courses, no Comedy or Harry Potter Studies.
Though I think there might be societies for both of those things, but that isn't what you asked
the assassins are a realy nice group of people and we have regular games and mini games, last year they aimed to have a game then a week or 2 off then start another game. i look forward to seeing you (if you get in) and stabbing you in the back with a pen or whipping you with a death jumper (yes this was a real weapon that killed me, my first death last year) i would spend some time on the assassins soc mart stand if i wasnt too busy with the deviant (rock and alt music soc) stand -
Re: UEA 2013 ApplicantsI'm pretty happy...(Original post by lilGem)
Hope you all got the results you wanted!
now let's get this UCAS cycle going
got 2 A's and a B (geog) but was only 2 marks off an A and all with a really useless man who sits at the front (nice guy but I can't call him a teacher since he never teaches, just shows us dvds... ) so am planning to resit Geog2...
How did everyone else do? -

Well done!
I got BBBb with full ums in A2 general
(7 ums overall off an A) 87+75 in econ4+2 (resitting econ3 to get an A) and 1 raw mark off of an a in biology.
(A lot better than I expected given the lead up to+ during exams)

I'm personally applying to both chemistry & pharmacy, so maybe something to consider is applying for 2 or 3 courses within the same uni
