Current York St John students?
I have a conditional offer from York St John and I'm really considering putting it as my firm.
I'm just wondering if there's any students from the uni on here who could give me a bit of an insight into what life is like at the uni, accomodation ect. Also, if anyone is doing primary education that would be a great help aswell? :-) -
Re: Current York St John students?
I've just about finished my first year at York St John doing Primary Ed and it's been the best year of my life! The course is well organised, fun, and not as much hard work as they initially make out! I live at Percys Lane and it's really nice there (definitely the best accommodation and definitely worth the extra costs!) It's only about a 10 minute walk (if that!) into town and a 5 minute walk from Topshop!!!!
The university is also really good about moving you to a different flat if you have problems/don't get on with your house mates which has been really useful to a couple of my friends. I really have made friends for life here, it's a great night out with a variety of different clubs offering student deals on a different night of the week. The city is gorgeous too, great for shopping (although I'd avoid it on a Saturday it tends to get rather busy but then you'll get that anywhere you go).
There's always loads going on at the SU so if you're worried about meeting new friends etc don't be, it's so easy!
Let me know if I can help out with anything else or if you have any more questions
I'm guessing you'll have already decided your firm choice now but thought I'd let you know just incase!

. I've put City Res then the Grange as my first two choices, I know you've said Percy's was the nicest, but do you know anyone who has lived in either of those?
