Hi, I'm revising for Unit 2 Psychology B AS-Level and I'm wondering whether the variations of Asch's study have been included?


Hiya, my teacher said they're pretty important as if you get a question on Asch, they'll want you to list some variations :smile: You don't have to know them in great depth but here are the few you do need to know:
- Increased group size- increased conformity (more people being against you kinda thing)
- Providing support for the subject - decreased (having someone else making a guess with you)
- Increasing difficulty ( lines became more similar in length) - increased conformity
- Introducing Privacy (participlant made answer in private) - decreased conformity
