Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animal
Ive attached pictures aswel. Not sure if you can see clearly.
But basically every morning I wake up and like clockwork I feel and stinging pain on the shoulders, look in the mirror and it looks as if a cat decided to play with a woollen ball on it.
At first I thought it was involuntary scratching during sleep so I began to wear cotton caps on my fingers before sleeping but no effect. Then I assumed it was my bed but during nights out when I bunk in other peoples houses the same still happens the next morning.
These were taken just recently but in the morning its much worse, it can sometimes be very ridiculous.
I know this sounds outrageous and strange, but does anyone else know anything that can help me? -
Re: Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animal
Nope I don't have any pets of any sort.
YThats what I thought at first too, so I put cotton finger caps on when I sleep so I cant scratch anything. Still wake up with bloody and stinging shoulders.ou probably scratch yourself in your sleep as a nervous habit. -
Re: Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animalHaha, I don't think anyone in particular would want to scratch me, per say.Is there anyone else around who'd have to cause to give you a good scratching?
I wouldn't go that far yet.Freaky. Record yourself at night.
Is there some sort of condition where skin is very sensitive to scratches or whatnot? -

I sometimes wake up with similar on my face, but not every night. I've never worked out why either
I've tried sleeping in gloves like you, and I sometimes still wake up with scratches.
Perhaps you sleepwalk? ...in a self-injurious manner?

Re: Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animalScary.(Original post by there's too much love)
Do you have a video camera? Perhaps film yourself sleeping?
I prefer not to know if there are ghosts in my room since I doubt I could expell them.

Re: Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animalI've tried wearing T shirts, round neck shirts, PJ's, bare chested during sleep and it makes no difference :/(Original post by Playa10)
It might be the clothes that you're wearing....try wearing something softer.
Or it might be the demon from Paranormal Activity...what did you do to him?
I'm not alone yay!Oh, christ! So I am not the only one with the scratches!!!!

Re: Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animalBecause your idea is scary. You assume that someone/something is doing the scratching and that assumption is too freaky.(Original post by there's too much love)
why are you quoting me?

Re: Every morning, my shoulders look like they've been ravaged by an animal
get someone to cable tie your hands together ?? no way you can get out of those and you will find it hard to scratch .. get someone to cut them in the morning though of course !!!
could you be having some sort of night terror or sleep disorder ?
cut your nails really short and file them so they are smooth no sharp edges. wash your bed clothes with a different detergent and change your shower gel. you could have dry skin to and might just scratch it .. try some moisturiser
not really sure what else to say

I badly want to know where they come from, now!
