Whats the future of the media industry?
From the first black-and-white TV box, to the latest HD 3D Internet TV technology. From the phonograph cylinder invented by Thomas Edison to the Apple iPhone made famous by Steve Jobs. Our media consumption patterns are continuously changing at an accelerated pace. The advent of the Internet has triggered a radical transformation of the old media principles. How will the future look like?

How will media look like in 10-20 years? How will media be consumed in 10-20 years? What are your ideas for the future of media?

I'll be discussing this some high profile people from the media industry, and it would be great if you guys could give in your inputs!

I belive in the next couple of years that tv shows will move to Youtube. If you look at how youtubes heading it make sense, seeing as they already have catchup shows on the utubez. Also a nigahiga vid can get 5 million views easily, which is alot more than alot of 'succesfull' tv shows.

I think in 10 or 20 years time everything will possibly be controlled by our thoughts and we may even have everything direct into our brains.....I'm thinking Matrix!!!

I am also thinking that social media is going to be playing an important role in the way the media world is going to be moving ahead..

In 10 to 20 years we might see a vast portion of people look to the internet to provide them with the TV shows they love. First we had the radio, the radio was stamped on by the Television, and now we're starting to see the internet over take the TV. 3 or 4 years ago, I'd watch my favourite shows on the TV, but now I watch them on BBC Iplayer, 4OD, Youtube and so on..
