    Does this job exist?
I want a job that will allow me meet leaders and senior authorities of countries. Make business and political decisions and represent my country or organisation on a national or international level.

Also I want the job to involve analyzing the political economy and advising seniors on how to best run the organisation or government or how to construct their policies.

Erm so does a job like this exist?

I love politics, I love international relations and political economy too.

You're describing work within the civil service/foreign office but you're also describing the position of lobbyists/consultancies outside government but who have an impact on formation of policy. Have a look at Public Affairs firms that have a governmental and international focus -- the big ones, like Bell Pottinger (although an unfortunate reputation) will tend to have a finger on the pulse. The website w4mp.org tends to advertise anything involved in that field as well as standard 'parliamentary assistant' posts. You could also look at thinktanks and political pressure groups -- this is a more specialised field, generally a thinktank will pick a particular area of policy and hire people with deep knowledge of the area and their expertise will then be used in consultation. The Henry Jackson Society is a well known group for the Atlantic/UK relationship, the European Council for Foreign Relations is an excellent one for EU/worldwide relations.

Where abouts are you in study-terms? You say you're interested in IR/IPE, but are you an undergrad? Postgrad? Having a favourite specialism tends to direct you toward further study (i.e. Masters/PHD) and then on into an area of political study & expertise. I'd suggest trying internships, getting a feel for what's out there. The civil service is amazing, but it's not the only thing out there and I think a lot of us IR grads think that the only way we can have impact and use our degrees is to go into diplomacy.

If you don't know what a diplomat is, then you're obviously unsuitable for such a position.
