Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmKelly and Henderson are established u21's and have loads of PL experience. Why can't we include them? People seem to enjoy including Cleverley (Lol) and Wilshire ALL the time.(Original post by jam277)
If we lose tonight, everyone will be calling for lampard to come back into the side or they'll say they should have used more of the youth like henderson... I don't know why everyone slates lampard so much
I don't get how our country is so terrible, anyway, if henderson gets into the euros, I will get josh mceachran, martin kelly and kieran gibbs while we're also at it.

Get your head out of the lads arse. -
Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmWilshere is significantly better than both of them hence why he's,when fit, considered an automatic starter. Henderson is a bag of energy but not much else. I agree Cleverley has been bigged up- but he is a good player.(Original post by Jim-Jam)

Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmFor whom? Henderson's form has been indifferent at best thus far this season, and hasn't shown anything to imply he'd be up to international standard. Admittedly Cleverley's experience has been sporadic, but he's impressed to an extent when he has played. Kelly has been better, but Johnson, Walker and Richards are all ahead of him.(Original post by Jim-Jam)

Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pm
So far a cautious approach by England, the usual mechanical non-creative and underwhelming crap we're used to. Now, that's fine for the first 20 minutes but get a move on! Everybody seems to look at someone else to do something.
Edit: just when I say that they have an effort on goal, but still...Last edited by silent ninja; 29-02-2012 at 20:34. -
Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmHe's started well, but having watched him for Chelsea in depth, I can say that he has a tendency to flit in and out of games.(Original post by JJames)
Sturridge looks hopeful. I bet he'll score in the 2nd half... -
Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmHave you been watching the same match? Had a number of good opportunities inside the penalty box fyi. This is with a youthful team, who have hardly played together, and havent gelled properly yet. Everyone is doing their job.(Original post by silent ninja)

Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pm
I've always thought that was his selling point- I admit I don't watch too much of L'Pool.
Aside, glad to see Sturridge getting significant game time. I like Richards as well, can see him claiming the full back place.
Is Milner injured? I would have gone with him over Barry- opinions? -
Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmI don't mind that, as long as he does enough to earn another call up. (We don't want another Michael Ricketts)(Original post by KingMessi)

Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmDude, they're the home team. There's no zip. It's cautious. Plenty of time left but this is a friendly, have a bloody go! It's been more positive in the last few minutes though.(Original post by Tommyjw)

Re: England vs Holland, KO 8pmI agree that we want him in the squad regularly. He's played very well slightly out of position in a struggling Chelsea side; he could be fantastic if he develops consistency and improves his end product.(Original post by JJames)

Playing world cup finalists with only 1 of their strongest 11 not playing, with an inexperienced team who need time to fit together, with testing out some players, players missing etc. And we have had the better chances. Hardly 'being cautious' is it now? First half was good for us.Last edited by Tommyjw; 29-02-2012 at 20:47.
