Re: Plymouth Freshers 2012Hey, Im going to be doing Extended Science as well and im a late bloomer @ 24, and for some reason this year i really feel it, so im a tad nervous about going back to school it's been a really long time. Im from Torbay originally but live up near Exeter at the minute, Will be moving down to be in Janner central hopefully start of September! ha! But fear not you are not the only old person on this course.(Original post by carriesouthcott)
hi, i'm quite a lot older than all of you but i have an unconditional to study extended science in September, i already live in Plymouth and have done for most of my life....i'm only 26 but that seems ancient compared to 18 haha.
I have my own house thankfully so no need to look for accommodation but wish you all luck with your search, to be honest you cant go wrong with most of the places near the centre of town, especially if you want to enjoy the nightlife :-)

Re: Plymouth Freshers 2012Hi I'm Martin the computer technician from Sir James and I am also studying this year(Original post by katthorpe)
Hey!
I'm taking a top-up degree in Film in September and will be staying in Discovery Heights. I'm from Cornwall and have only been to Plymouth on days out a few times. -
Re: Plymouth Freshers 2012It's a bit of both really. :P I've lived just outside of Plymouth for my whole life, study a course here in September. Loads of clubs, and lots of nice pubs too!(Original post by xkloii)
I have also just accepted my offer for plymouth in september, i have tried to research everything about the area but its pretty hard living 4 and a half hours away! What's the nightlife like down there? are people up for wild clubbing nights or is it more pub orientated? I do like to party ha! -
Re: Plymouth Freshers 2012you might like this https://www.facebook.com/events/337981322956251/ it's a psytrance party at C103, and you don't get any chavbs at things like this just lots of lovely hippies and people who just want to listen to good music and have a good time(Original post by xkloii)
well i come from a town where there is only one half-decent club that isn't over 21s which gives no choice concidering im 18! That sounds good I do love to dance when ive been drinking
Yeah that would be cool, could you tell me a bit about the clubbing scene? are there lots of chavs there? The area I live in is full of people looking for a fight and I chose Plymouth thinking i could get away from people like that. We'll have to party in September ha! I'll show you how we do it up here
Are people up for a hardcore night of drinking? I can deal with a few quiet drink nights but I have to have a night to go crazy!
I did try asking students at the open day but the parents of other potential students shunned me so the plymouth students didnt really say much. other then a 'jazz bar' which really isnt my thing....
it'd be good to see some other freshers down there as well...I start at the uni this year!!!
