E.ON Engineering Schemes - What would you like to know?
    Hello everyone,

Hope you're all good - Happy Friday

In a couple of weeks I'm going to see E.ON. I'd like to know from you guys what you'd like to know about the engineering schemes offered by E.ON.
Are you interested in applying, who else are you looking at and why?

If you've applied for this year's scheme, how have you found the application process, interviews, assessment centres etc?

Would you like to have E.ON on The Student Room to answer your questions about careers at E.ON?

Thanks in advance for your help, and have a great day!

    Hi JK,

I'd like to hear more about their E&P Graduate Scheme with E.ON Ruhrgas, e.g. what the scheme is like, opportunities for offshore work, whether you get to specialise within a certain area (e.g. subsea, pipelines, topsides etc.), travel and the like.

    Thanks

    Hi Smack,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you -
I've met with E-ON and can provide you with the following reply...

    Hi
This is the first year where we have run an E&P scheme in the UK. We’re looking to take on 3 graduates in different disciplines including petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering, sub-surface engineering and geology/geophysicists. Our ambition is that for every graduate we recruit, that we ensure they have a personalised career path. There will obviously be some core things you’ll need to do in role (like have multiple placements), but we want to make sure you get what you need from your career here. If you want to specialise, then we’ll help you do that. Offshore work is clearly a pull for some people; for others, its international work in other countries – again, we’ll always try to ensure you get the focus you want. And best of all, because we’re a relatively small E&P operation in the UK, you’ll get real responsibility and access to the senior management team and CEO on a regular basis.

    Hope this helps!!

With the E&P scheme, how long is the graduate scheme on a whole and more specifically how long are the offshore/abroad placements? Regarding the abroad placements, where would graduates most likely be based?

    Thanks.
