    Hi oHellno!

We've been looking into this for you, and are still waiting to hear back from the School of Medicine - we'll let you know as soon as we find out! (certainly we weren't under the impression that it would be different dates).

Hi, I just wanted to check that the medicine registration week/freshers starts at the same date as the rest of the college, on the 17th of September?

The website and offerholders booklet don't suggest that there is any difference. Thanks

    Hello again oHellno

We've just had word from the School of Medicine that they follow the same dates as the rest of the College - these can be found on our website here: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/ug/ImportantDates.aspx

They do also say that some individual programmes have different dates - for example Endodontics enrols in early September - but these are communicated to candidates separately.

    Hope that helps!

I would like to ask about Business management for 2013 entry. How competitive is the course? I only have a grade C in english language, how much would this affect my application? For the course politics of the international economy, what sort of careers will it lead you to?

    Hi Stardust Mirage

    Thanks for your message.

Business Management does state in its entry requirements that you need a B in GCSE Maths and English. Obviously if you meet the entry requirements at A level that is in your favour and puts you in a good position but you would need to talk to the admissions team about your results at GCSE and what position that puts you in. They can be reached on sspp-ugadmissions@kcl.ac.uk or 020 7848 1403.

Politics of the International Economy (PIE) is a new programme (the first intake is in Sept 2012) so obviously I can't tell you exactly what careers graduates from this programme have gone on to have yet. However PIE will give students with a skill set that equips them to work in policy development for governmental or NGO settings. The programme leader for PIE is called Rod Dacombe and he would be very happy to talk through any aspect of the programme with you. He can be contacted via email (rod.dacombe@kcl.ac.uk) and on the phone (020 7848 7350)

    Hope this helps!

    Hi usernamevoid,

I've just received information from the International Student Support team. They will have student ambassadors meeting and greeting new international student arrivals to King's at Heathrow airport (terminals 3, 4 and 5) on Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th and Saturday 15th September. I haven't got the exact details on the hours they will be there but last year it was from 08:00 - 20:00 so I expect it to be the same this year.

You might be interested in looking at these pages on the website which contains lots of info for new international students: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/campuslife/serv...pport/pre.aspx

    Hope this helps

Hello Fran, sorry to bother you once again. But your website here (http://www.kcl.ac.uk/campuslife/serv...pport/pre.aspx) says the Heathrow meet and greet is on12,13,14. But you say it's also on the 10th. It's getting a bit confusing. Can you confirm once again? Are the dates wrong on the website?

    Hi usernamevoid

I'm very sorry about the confusion; it would appear that the page on the website has yet to be updated from last year. But I can confirm that the dates the Meet and Greet team will be at Heathrow is Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th and Saturday 15th September at terminals 3, 4 and 5. I am sorry that the website has not yet been updated and will ask the team responsible for updating the pages to do so asap.

    Sorry again!

    Hello King's,

Have the results of the PGR Funding applications been announced? If you have not heard anything, does this mean you are still in the hat?

    hi King's!

I am an international applicant from Singapore and I am thinking about firming my place for Law this year. I would like to know, what is the deadline for applying for intercollegiate accommodation? Is it the same as the deadline for King's - 30 June 2012? Appreciate a quick reply! Thanks!

    Hi scottie78,

Just to check, are you talking about funding you have applied for through King's or other sources, such as Research Councils? Either way, you should always receive notification of whether or not you have been successful. As I don't know the deadlines of the applications you have made I'm afraid I can't be more specific on your particular applications.

If you are concerned and would like to check on the status of your application, I would advise that you contact the fees and funding office at King's (for applications made through King's) on funding@kcl.ac.uk or 020 7848 4362 / 4363 / 4471. For applications made to other sources of funding, there should be details of how to contact them in the application pack or on their website.

    Hope this helps

    King's,

Thank you, it was funding via Kings and it was the 1 Feb deadline. I had been expecting an announcement by early May or to be told as and when a rejection decision was reached. Yet it all seems quiet so far. I haven't spoken to anyone that has heard anything.

    Cheers,

    Hi King's,

I would like to check, when exactly do we make our tuition and accommodation fee payment, assuming that I am going to stay in an intercollegiate hall? Thanks.

    Hello Fran (& co),

How difficult is it to get First class honours in International Politics? Does it depend upon the first two years' scores??
