I love the people that live by the motto, why go for second best! I mean, I am 14 and I recently bought a road bike. I saved up for it and everything. I originally saved for a Carrera, this was £300. I decided to save another £200 and get a Specialized. Determination :P
My next save is an acoustic guitar. Maybe some Beats by Dre :\ -

Things I spend money on :-
Food, I will spend on quality though it must be good value for money.
Clothes, I rather wait for a good deal and buy something that lasts rather than one that is cheap and looks tatty or out of fashion in a short time.
Shoes, for obvious reasons.
Bed, a good mattress and a nice set of sheets does make me sleep better and have less aches.
Cars, for obvious reasons.
Watches, am a horologist so obviously am quite into clocks and watches. -

Food.
I'd rather spend my money on high quality, fresh, wholesome food that'll make me feel happier, more refreshed and alive than any possession ever could.
Also decent clothes for obvious reasons

Camera gear. There is a limit ... but it's quite high, and I prefer to spend more to buy one good item than faff around for ages trying out loads of cheaper items before ultimately ending up with this item anyway. -

Honestly...not a lot haha
I did go into town the other day because I was bored and end up buying a casio keyboard for £100 though, I hadn't even ever played keyboard before. But i'm not bad at it now after a couple of weeks of practice! i've been learning songs from youtube tutorials.
If I was going to say something, I guess i'd say decent sketchbooks for my course. I like the hardback, ringbound ones, and they set you back a bitLast edited by Cll_ws; 03-03-2012 at 00:42. -
Re: What are you willing to spend decent money on?
Whoah there are A LOT of guitar players on this thread! lol
I think shoes and decent food. I've got quite a bit of money saved for university and I'll see how I go when I get there but I should have more than enough. In which case I'm REALLY tempted to treat myself for my 20th in January to a really gorgeous pair of heels... I've never had a proper expensive designer pair before and I wouldn't spent thousands.. but Christian Louboutins and Manolo Blahniks are rather amazing...
At the moment I tend to get my shoes in places like dorothy perkins, new look etc. with a couple of really nice, slightly more expensive pairs that have been 'passed on' aka permanently borrowed from my mum lol. Also DRESSES! I love a nice, flattering, well cut dress! French connection and river island are probably my favourite places for dresses... -
Re: What are you willing to spend decent money on?
Books. Considering they are more expensive here in Germany, I spend an equivalent of hundreds of £ on it every year.
Also, I do not like paperback, no, I need the good old hardcover. Combined with my desperate need to own a book I have read (libraries are no option except for very special literature) it really amounts to something ...
Oh, and gifts/presents. I love searching for things the people I care for (family and some special friends) like. When visiting my town in Ghana this year I'll definitely need a second bag
