Mature and living with parent?

Hi, hope someone can give some good advice.

In September I will to move to Cardiff from London to start university.
My dad, who lives in Denmark where Im from, has expressed a desire to come with me so we can live together, something I have always wanted and has always offered, I want to take care of him as he is not super well and he does not have much family left in Denmark.

But. Im worried that living with me will hinder me in getting new friends and enjoy my studies too much.
Im 28 and havent lived with parents since I was 15, so Im also concern of how the dynamics will be, my dad is very accepting of my lifestyle (and that fact that Im incredibly messy when he's totally anal about tidying).
Also, what will he spend his time with? If Im on a full-time and very demanding course I will probably feel like I am neglecting him but I also have to focus on a future career and enjoy my 'youth'.

So, I dont know what to do and what to think of and whether this is really bad idea or a good one.
My dad is the most important person in my life so I dont want to be selfish and I do want to live with him, Im just not sure whether its the best for both of us.

If the post wass too long here's the short version:

Should I move in to a new town with my dad whom I havent lived with for over a decade? Will it hinder my studies and social life?

I think you need to talk to him about it, not us. Ask him what he is planning to do, does he speak English? You need to explain that while you'll be living together you will be studying full time and then expected to socialise etc evenings and weekends so won't be around to entertain him, in the nicest possible way of course.
