LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business management
Hello,
I'm holding offers for Management (Business management - KCL) at King's and Warwick university. The problem is, I am incapable of deciding which one to choose. Warwick is definately better in academics than King's, however, it isn't in London. LSE hasn't given me an offer yet, but I was wondering what you think of it in comparison with KCL and Warwick. Thank you for any answers
Btw i'm an international student.

Re: LSE vs King's College vs WarwickThanks a lot(Original post by Tsunami2011)
LSE is the most prestigious and internationally renowned of the three. I would say that LSE is your best bet. If you're planning to go back to your homeland after university, then King's would be a good second choice, otherwise go with Warwick.
. I plan to stay in the UK for a few years, though. do you think warwick is better in management than King's?

Re: LSE vs King's College vs WarwickDefinitely. Warwick Business School is globally recognised. Warwick on the whole is generally seen as better than King's and Its Business School is top notch. It will set you up nicely for many careers. Warwick is arguably a top six university in the UK whilst King's is on the outskirts of the top ten.(Original post by jatonebyl)

But LSE rejected me because I am chinese and I don't take first language chinese...
I asked the same question several weeks ago, haha, and I guess WBS will be a better option than Kings
the business management course there is world recognized
However, if you do get an LSE offer, pick LSE! Best of luck!

Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business managementI really like the location of KCL, and didn't know which one to pick at the start as well. However I decided to firm Warwick for the course (should go read the course outlines etc. and compare which one suits you better). There may not be as much entertainment and social life in Warwick compared to Kings, but it's only an hour ride to London so you can always go there during the weekends.(Original post by jatonebyl)
LSE Reject -that leaves me to Warwick and King's...Warwick is great in business, however, King's got the London factor...still undecided...what do you think about the social life in Warwick and surrounding cities? -
Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business managementLocation does not dictate social life that much, in my opinion. What matters is the people you hang out with. Even if you'll be in London and you don't have friends to hang out with, you'll get bored very easily. At Warwick, social activities are well integrated with the school and friendship is fostered as it is a university campus, so the students tend to hang out well with each other. When they leave the university, they cherish those moments when they were still there.(Original post by jatonebyl)

For an ideal college experience, IMPO, campus uni is better than a school that doesn't have one. -
Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business management
I would definitely pick King's over Warwick. They are both good, but I think King's has the edge in terms of reputation. Also, the location is a lot more exciting. Practically everyone I know who went to Warwick started to get bored/frustrated by the 2nd year, and couldn't wait to leave by the end - it's a nice uni, but I think the area and the fact that a lot of people have to commute 40 mins from Leamington Spa drives people a bit nuts.

Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business management
In terms of 'prestige', both universities are fantastic. Whilst Warwick agreeably has a slightly reputation in terms of Business, Kings is in the heart of London- the financial capital of England, if not the world.
Having a Business degree is what you make of it: the companies you network with, the people you meet... yes living in Coventry on a campus uni may be a fun university experience, but as far as business goes, London has endless opportunities- the King's College London Business Club (voted number One Entrepreneurial society in the UK) has numerous events and opportunities to make the best of life in London.
Take that as you will, but London is the obvious choice for anyone who wants to go into business- even if the alternative universities are negligibly better ranked. -
Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business managementHow do you explain KCL's awful student satisfaction score for the course? Speaking to someone who graduated last year, he personally did not enjoy it and said the administration was terrible. You'd be hard-pressed to find some that would pick KCL over LSE and Warwick for Management.(Original post by jdthemagicman)

Hey
I was wondering if you could help me out choose between kings or warwick or cass ? I have gone terribly confused after checking up tons of ranking sites , the confusion just gets deeper. What would u choose between the three for management ?
thank you in advance

Re: LSE vs King's College vs WarwickThe management program at Warwick is housed at Warwick Business School. WBS is world-class and is reputable world-wide. You'd have a chance to study as an exchange student to the US such as Wharton, U of Chicago or UC Berkeley.(Original post by ayush2611)

Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick
Hey guys, I am in a similar situation and any opinion/advice is much appreciated!
I'm currently a Georgetown University student (freshman - first year) and I got an unconditional offer for Business Management at KCL. I am really confused as to firm it and go to KCL nxt year or stay at Georgetown. I'm in Georgetown SFS (School Foreign Service) but I don't want a degree related to politics, I would much rather do something business related. However, most people have the notion that Georgetown is a better school than KCL even though KCL does better at rankings...IDK what to do? What do people think? Am i making a bad decision by thinking of transferring out of Georgetown?
-
Re: LSE vs King's College vs WarwickI'd stick with Georgetown and apply to McDonough later. King's international rep is higher than it's local rep. It's like UT-Austin which has a high ranking internationally, but suffers in domestic ranking.(Original post by altai_e)

Re: LSE vs King's College vs Warwick business management
But if I am staying in Georgetown I will stay because of school of foreign service not the business school. Also, can you please elaborate on why I should stay in Georgetown as opposed to living in LONDON?
