I fancy another piercing for my ear, I want something on my right that'll go with a tragus (don't think a rook is an option as I don't think mine could be pierced.

    Any suggestions

A helix piercing would look good with a tragus, just make sure you get it where the ear curves and not right on the top or side

Oooh, I never thought about a Helix, how painful is it?

I'm thinking about 3 in each ear eventually...hopefully all different piercings

Thought it'd be much easier if I uploaded pictures of my ears...they look so bare!

(Spoiler as images are a lot bigger than I thought they'd be!)

Hi Amy! I knew I recognised your name again!

I was doing an apprenticeship for every other weekend over about 3 years. I wasn't allowed to talk about it because I was so young/the shop probably shouldn't have trained me so for legal reasons I never mentioned it to cover my own and the shops back. It's closed down now though, but it was fun doing it! Also, I don't want people like Darren and such to find out. Tis why I keep it away from Facebook! I haven't pierced in about 8 months now though as I finished last year and haven't been employed since because there's only two shops around where I live! I never wanted to pierce for a job, ever, actually. I loved piercing and found a shop to train at and trained I did. I enjoyed it, but university was always going the place for me.

Meh, maybe I shouldn't class myself as a professional. Howabout fully trained?

Edit: I've just realised, I used to look at your blog regularly, but haven't for a while. Something to distract me from my essay tonight then

What do people think about a double tragus? I've never really wanted my tragus pierced, but I think a double looks really good.

It depends on where abouts you get it. It does hurt wherever, but at the top where it's thicker it hurts more - it's the only time I've ever sworn during a piercing

More than Tragus? I got that done a few weeks ago, it wasn't too bad.

Helix really wasn't that bad. Yes it hurt but not so much.

I'd say on piercing pain scale (of the piercings I've had) it's gone:
    Forward Helix - OUCH
Nose - Pain but quickly wore off
Helix - Throbbing pain but nothing tablets can't deal with and a wee bit of pain when catching hair in it
    Lobes - Fine

I find easiest way to deal with pain is to hum. I literally hummed throughout getting my piercings done. It focuses your mind.

Hey I just got my forward helix done. When this has healed up I want to get one in my other ear - I really want a rook but I've heard these are the most painful, otherwise I might get a tragus. I found the forward helix pretty darn painful, although it was definitely worth it - has anyone had rook/tragus/forward helix and could rate them in terms of painfulness? - I get that everyone's ears are different, just as a rough guide!

Although rooks are painful, they don't take that long to heal and it's worth it in the end!

Hey sweeties! I have a microdermal under my eye and I wonder, when the time comes, does it hurt to get it taken out? I'm already terrified lol xoxo

Mine hurt quite a lot but they were very irritated and halfway to rejection. The scarring was very pink and fairly raised for about a year then started fading. It's been about 3 years now and you can't see the one scar at all, and the other is only very slightly raised and white - I'm super pale so it's barely lighter than the rest of my skin haha. Mine were on my chest (just under each collarbone, about 2 inches apart) which is an area that does have a tendency to result in more raised scarring though!
