    Hi guys,

    Sociology unit 1 SCLY1 56 B 56 out of 60

    Sociology Unit 2 SCLY2 80 c 80 out of 90

    Overall AS grade 136 C

I very confused i got 80 percent for unit 2 so why did i get grade C and same for uni 1 i got 56 out of 60.

Do you think they have made a mistake with these grades

    It is not 56/60. The mark you were given is UMS so it is 56/100 (D) and 80/100 (A) therefore a C (136). 140 is a B.

No they didn't make a mistake with the marks or the grades.

    SCLY1 has a max UMS of 80, so 56/80 = b
    SCLY2 has a max UMS of 120, so 80/120 =c

    Overall 136/200=C (140 would have been a B).
