The Hunger Games movie
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: The Hunger Games movieYeah i get what you mean.(Original post by siani-chan)
It's a pain but they can't, they have limited budgets and run times and even schedules in some cases. Also, some things don't look as good on camera as they read in books (if that makes sense, I can't word it properly.) Oh well. I'm still excited.
But of course, nothing will stop me from being excited!!!
I am sooo gonna cry at the reaping when they call Prim's name
and at the part where Rue died. Oh Rue... :'(
MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR! :P -
Re: The Hunger Games movieI can't fully explain without any spoilers, so let's just say the ending disappointed me.(Original post by hanisb)

Aww the ending was heart-wrenching. I felt bad for Peeta.

Re: The Hunger Games movieBut I'm sure there are other people on here who haven't read them, haha(Original post by hanisb)

And I was disappointed with Mockingjay because I felt that the ending defeated the whole purpose of the books, with Prue all.Last edited by motunrolarulz; 08-03-2012 at 23:46. Reason: Typo -
Re: The Hunger Games movie
I wanted her to be with gale!!! I love peeta, but wanted gale
I know he was a bit of a **** with the bombs and such but still!
I didnt like mockingjay the first time i read it, it grew on me though and now i think its as fab as the rest!
The film should be good, the author wrote the script! -

Do you think they'll make the movies for the last two books as well?? -
Re: The Hunger Games movieWell I hope so, haha. And I hope Suzanne Collins is involved with the script in the other two like she was in this one(Original post by hanisb)

Re: The Hunger Games movie
I haven't read the books in a long time so I've forgotten alot of the details and hopefully this means I won't be bothered if the movie misses out on too much.
Plus I wasn't really feeling the actors playing Peeta or Gale but after watching a clip showing Peeta's interview I can see that he should be fine. Gale on the other hand...well I just hope for the best. -
Re: The Hunger Games movieIMM GOINNNNGGGGG!!!!(Original post by hanisb)
So it's coming out on the 23rd of March a little more than 2 weeks from now.

I loved all the books.

I think it'll be good, they've been advertising it for months now!

Re: The Hunger Games movie
Got my tickets booked!!!! Going to see it on the 22nd. Yes, I mean the 22nd, I didn't get the date wrong.
So excited!!! Although I don't think I'll like it as much as the books seeing as it's a 12A so I'm not sure they'll really capture the arena the way I did in my head, they can't possibly make it that scary without making it a 15.

Re: The Hunger Games movieI don't know, I used to be alright at hide and seek when I was younger, I'd always move around and change hiding place, going back to places I'd been before because people would think "I've already checked there, I know she's not there." So with the right cover I could hide from other tributes, and I can climb a tree pretty well, although I'm short. I can't hunt though and I'm not the best runner, and would absolutely die in hand-to-hand combat. I'd probably be like Foxface if I was in the arena. But my chances would be slim. On the plus side, they'd give me a low score before I went in so the other tributes wouldn't bother with me. On the downside, people wouldn't want to send me gifts.(Original post by emmah629)
If you were in the hunger games what do you reckon your chances would be?
I would be screwwed! I cant run, I cant throw anything and im scared of heights so couldnt climb a tree!
I would litrelly have to run to the edge and hope no one found me! -
Re: The Hunger Games movieAlthough I'd like to convince myself otherwise, I'd be the first to die. LOL.(Original post by emmah629)
