Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

It's a pain but they can't, they have limited budgets and run times and even schedules in some cases. Also, some things don't look as good on camera as they read in books (if that makes sense, I can't word it properly.) Oh well. I'm still excited.
Yeah i get what you mean.
But of course, nothing will stop me from being excited!!!
I am sooo gonna cry at the reaping when they call Prim's name
and at the part where Rue died. Oh Rue... :'(
MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR! :P

    WHYYY?!
I can't fully explain without any spoilers, so let's just say the ending disappointed me.

Oh don't worry about spoilers, I've read all the books - twice. :P
Aww the ending was heart-wrenching. I felt bad for Peeta.

But I'm sure there are other people on here who haven't read them, haha
And I was disappointed with Mockingjay because I felt that the ending defeated the whole purpose of the books, with Prue all.

That may be so, but Battle Royale was an epic movie :yep:

I got the e-mail update from the cinema the other day saying the tickets are no on sale. Will have to make time in April to go see it :nutcase:

oh my gosh i am literally SOOOO excited!!!! i finished all the books a week or so ago and they were so good. i'm desperate to see it! also i think the actors they've chosen, on the whole, really suit the part. i hope Liam Hemsworth is good enough to portray Gale though...

Well I hope so, haha. And I hope Suzanne Collins is involved with the script in the other two like she was in this one

7 seconds of cuts have been made to bring down the certificate from a 15 to 12a, according to the BBFC

I haven't read the books in a long time so I've forgotten alot of the details and hopefully this means I won't be bothered if the movie misses out on too much.
Plus I wasn't really feeling the actors playing Peeta or Gale but after watching a clip showing Peeta's interview I can see that he should be fine. Gale on the other hand...well I just hope for the best.

Got my tickets booked!!!! Going to see it on the 22nd. Yes, I mean the 22nd, I didn't get the date wrong. So excited!!! Although I don't think I'll like it as much as the books seeing as it's a 12A so I'm not sure they'll really capture the arena the way I did in my head, they can't possibly make it that scary without making it a 15.

I don't know, I used to be alright at hide and seek when I was younger, I'd always move around and change hiding place, going back to places I'd been before because people would think "I've already checked there, I know she's not there." So with the right cover I could hide from other tributes, and I can climb a tree pretty well, although I'm short. I can't hunt though and I'm not the best runner, and would absolutely die in hand-to-hand combat. I'd probably be like Foxface if I was in the arena. But my chances would be slim. On the plus side, they'd give me a low score before I went in so the other tributes wouldn't bother with me. On the downside, people wouldn't want to send me gifts.

I'm afraid it's going to be a bit heavy on the romance side.

Although I'd like to convince myself otherwise, I'd be the first to die. LOL.
