Re: Stirling Firmers 2012Well I can live without an en-suite, so not ASH. I quite like the thought of AKD, but my parents are paying for Halls and I feel bad asking for the more expensive one instead of Geddes or Murray.. I'd probably pick Geddes over Murray though, not all the showers in Murray have locks! :O(Original post by chameleon94)
I don't know, probably murray or geddes.. I'm just trying to decide between the two now, I think! Same, it makes it quite hard to decide when you don't really know what they look like.. Have you got an idea of which one you'd stay in or just don't know at all?

Re: Stirling Firmers 2012I didn't know that, eek! I would hate to feel like someone might walk in on me haha!(Original post by starstrukk)

Same! I was thinking about Alexander Court then realised it was on the opposite end of the campus from the Padfoot building, so decided against it
haha my boyfriend goes to Stirling so when I was up visiting him he drove me up to alexander court.. its bloody ages away! and given our delightful weather I decided against it haha -
Re: Stirling Firmers 2012Aww it's good but it throws up a few problems in confusing the languages, i still enjoy it!(Original post by chameleon94)
Haha, my school didn't do Spannish but I would probably hgave had a go at it if it had. That would probably be my problem too!
Oh well, at least it wasn't your first choice, that would have been really dissapointing. Oh right, would you have done the pgce after that if you'd chosen Edinburgh? I have, there's nothing else I've wanted to do and I've been doing work experience in local schools at all the stages from nursery and pre-school upwards and I've really enjoyed doing it so now I definately know it's what I want to do - which is good! Also I really like languages so the Stirling course was perfect for me, and I love Stirling. Did you do any work experience kind of things in schools or anything?
Yeah, my routine has pretty much just gone out the window, which is nice for a while but getting back into things will be nice! Oh well, we may as well enjoy it now, 4 more years of studying to do yet.. Obviously not what we'll be spending all our time tdoing, but y'know :P
Um, other than work experience stuff, I was working in a cafe, starting that again soon and I help run Brownies aswell and that's about it really!
Oh well, that's not too bad then - the lunch bit was the only thing I was annoyed about having to miss but I'll just find everything out in september and it'll be fine (I hope)!
Do you have exams this year?
Oh really? That's great! I can't wait just to get everything sorted
That'll be exciting :P I still haven't done the SAAS stuff though but that will be a job for the weekend now I think! Yaaay!
Yeah, that's very true! I would've had to but it seemed like too much hassle. Aww that's great that you're so sure, uni should be fab for ya then! I mean I've always wanted to be a primary teacher, i just had a few more options than i though i was gonna have. The Stirling course does look perfect, I'm getting so excited about it! I did a week's work experience in primary school, i help every week at rainbows and I also help at a Special Needs playscheme so I've done a fair bit!
Getting out of it is so easy, I've a feeling getting a new routine will be a nightmare, haha! Ah yes, I suppose we'll have to study a little :L
It'll have been goopd to get some extra experience, and money! You'll be totally fine, I'm sure you won't be the only one who wasn't there
I've only got two, Adv H French and Int 1 Spanish, although I'll probably still do poorly in French hahaa! -
Re: Stirling Firmers 2012I'm just about to accept my offer for AKD Room 4/01W! Soo excited(Original post by KatieLS)
I just accepted my offer for accommodation for AKD Room 5/29W
Was just wondering which is the room and which is the floor number? I'm confused about the layout of the building... it's a shame they don't give you floor plans/maps!
