    Plymouth College Of Art Accomodation
I recently accepted a place at Plymouth College Of Art but have hit a road block when it comes to living.
Alot of places are only helping toward Plymouth university students or are full.
If anyone knows about any vacancies in any student housing for new students it would be a great help as I dont really fancy living on my own come end of the year ^_^.

Not seen anything on Facebook :/ I think if people can get small groups together they can contact them and see if they have anyone else, that's what Sam's accommodation said to me on the open day! But it's quite nice to know who your living with haha! x

    hiya,
i've been offered a place at plymouth in september if i reach my grade targets for photography. but what i've found out is if you call up certain companies then they have open days in june/july for houses specifically for plymouth college of art students, so you can just go down on a day to see the houses and meet people you might live with etc.
just search plymouth college of art accommodation and call the agencies that come up.

Hey I'm panicking about houses too. thats a good idea though. For your student finance do you not have to put your uni address though? are you doing a degree in photography? I'm doing a fine art degree.

Hey, ive been offered a place at Plymouth College of Art for the FD in Graphic Design, i have accepted and am looking at flats, houses and apartments, i am weighing up the pros and cons of renting and buying with the parents. I dont particularly want to go into a student house with random people and a small room, I would rather have abit more space (especially as its an art subject and looking through work and portfolios takes up space) i would also rather have roommates who are freshers going to the college, i may have a room or rooms spare to which we can all help each other out with rent costs, please let me know if anyone is interested. Were probably all in the same boat

    Hi new students!

My name is Serena and I am the Student Union President of the College.

I just thought I would suggest some ideas about accommodation. From being a student myself what some students do is stay in halls like the company Unites building called Discovery Heights. This is where you have your own room/small bathroom and shared the kitchen. There are hundreds of students in Discovery Heights so get in early.

What some of our students tend to do is get a shared house and request that one other PCA student is in there. This has seemed to work well as you then get to know someone and then next year when you have met new friends you can opt to change house and move in with your new mates.

Ok so here are some companies you might want to check out. (Remember we do not recommend any specific place as we can't vet every house so do your homework and check out the place if you can.)

    Unite

    Chris Shorey

    Cool Digs

    Home and Student Link

    Clever Student Lets

    Sam's Accommodation

    Central Park Towers

There are plenty more so get on google

Also I have set up a group for 2012 Freshers on our Facebook page:
    http://www.facebook.com/groups/457158717634740/

If you need any advise feel free to drop me a message.

Good Luck and see you in September!!!

How do you request to be in a house with someone that is going to the college? I want to view a house on Saturday and i asked what other students are going to be in there and the guy didn't really know.. can i email him and ask him who is going into the house?
