Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3
I posted this somewhere else:
My GF did a term at NUS (she studies BioMed Engineering) and she absolutely loved it. I visited her for a week and I have to say Singapore blew my mind. NUS is a great school with an awesome campus and Singapore is one of the best places I have ever visited. The people are amazing, the food is the best, the culture is wonderful. I can't say enough good things about Singapore. You have the best of both worlds as well. You can do city stuff, but there are also many outdoors types of things to do.
Really really cool. You are lucky!
I guess it would really depend on where you want to work. If you want to live/work in England or Europe I would go to UCL. If you want to live/work in Singapore/SE Asia I would go to NUS.
You have two great schools to choose from though! -
Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3Actually, I am a Malaysian....and Singapore is just 30mins away from my home :P.....these two schools are prestigious institution that is recognised worldwide...I wonder if the overseas experience will be better, 'cause i'm really familiar with the culture in Singapore(almost the same as Malaysia's by the way)(Original post by FinanceStudent28)

Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3Well then I would say take the leap, try something new and check out London and UCL.(Original post by Jyouie)

I went to school in London for a year and absolutely loved it. -

Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3In my opinion, UCL has a greater name for Law and it offers a transfer programme to study at Singapore for one year. Not only you could meet people from all around the world, the year in Singapore will make you eligible for practising law in Singapore as you're familiar with the Singapore system. You can take a deeper look into the course modules and all that. Perhaps you're offered the Life Sciences and Law degree? I don't think either of them complement each other, they're in some sort of different field and they don't collaborate much.(Original post by puffy)
I need help too! Got offered UCL law and NUS law! i'm not sure what to pick, esp since i've been offered a double degree for NUS law. How would you rate UCL and NUS law respectively? -
Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3Please don't forget to PM me about your final decision..I would really like to know, seems like interested in someone struggling between NUS and UCL because I'm one of them, but made my final decision to go to UCL.(Original post by puffy)
Hmm, I get what you mean. Thank you for your thoughts and opinions! I am actually offered law and public policy, but the hesitation comes from how useful the masters in public policy will be. -
Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3
Just a quick question for those knowledgable - is it acknowledged that English citizens can apply to NUS? I wish to study Law and have been looking at what seems to be a very good course in Singapore - it arose as I was looking at study abroad options. Can an English Citizen apply for NUS Law, what are the entry criteria's?
-
Re: UCL or NUS? Urgent :3Yeah, definitely, and NUS seems to welcome international students, just take your British A-levels will do.....I think the requirement is AAA for A levels...and you'll need an interview and of course the law test(Original post by GeorgeN11)
