    One of the beautys of the aurora is it's unpredictability! Cambridge may be a bit far south though, you might be lucky enough to get a bit of a glow very low on the horizon, but i wouldn't hold out much hope!

    You'll have to try and get right out of the city, go North and find somewhere high and dark!

    I would LOVE to see the Northern Lights but here in NI you can see nothing because of all the cloud. Definately something thats on the "bucket list"

    Are they bright? Do you have to have the lights off to see them?

    Though, never say never Am I right in saying that there's a period every 50 or so years where the Northern Lights can be seen really far south? There was a battle during the American Civil War in Virginia (Fredericksburg?) when they were seen...

    That sounds so poetic :yy:

    Haven't actually seen any in real life, but would like to go to Norway/Iceland and see them some time :moon:
