When should I retake AQA Chemistry Unit 1?

I got 78/100 in Chemistry Unit 1 (AQA), which I am going to retake. However I am not sure when to do it. Chemistry Unit 2 is very significant since it holds the greatest % in the whole of A-level chemistry so it is very important for me to well in that, but I'm worried that doing both units in June (plus 5 other exams) will stop me from getting a very good mark. Do you think I should..
1) Retake unit 1 in June 2012?
2) Retake unit 1 in Jan 2013?

I think in june cause by the time you do it in jan your universities would only know your previous jan results not the one your going to do!
