Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyAt the lower end? How insulting.(Original post by dongonaeatu)
C-E. Probably at the lower end of that estimation. What did you get?
I got a B, two marks off of an A. My excuse is that I was stupid and ended up cramming the night before and got two hours sleep. I got a 57/60 in a Unit 1 mock I did recently. Happy? -
Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS Biologycongratulations, that is a very good score. You should be pleased.(Original post by Tullia)
I know what you were implying, hence my post.
And there isn't too much of a crossover in terms of content, and especially not with this particular topic.
Not that I would know though, as I only got 100 UMS in BIOL1, and so I'm obviously challenged. -

Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyClever clogs! I got full UMS in my GCSEs and hoping to get near it in my Unit 1 re-take seeing as I have actually revised properly this time. Unit 2, unlikely, but I'm fairly confident I should be able to get an A.(Original post by Tullia)

57/60 is a very respectable score. -
Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyIt's easier to get full ums in unit 2 (as in you can drop a fair amount of marks or so) so don't cross it off yet!(Original post by thescientist17)

Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyYes, I did look up the grade boundaries for Unit 2 for 100 UMS and it was suprisingly low, but I still don't think I'll get it. Well I've just got to keep positive I guess. Unit 1 I think it was 58/60 for the paper I looked at. Won't get as high as that unless I'm having a very lucky day, but as long as I know I've done my best.(Original post by Mocking_bird)

Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS Biologywe need to continue doing the 4 questions with each other, answer and then post another 4 questions that can help a lot.(Original post by Mocking_bird)

Erm, and how exactly is osmosis passing into a cell not making you a special case?
& proud!

Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyWell could you explain it to me in full then? And maybe if I read it all together I might understand it. Because you explain it but there's always something I could say against it, for example the humans having the same level of activity.(Original post by dongonaeatu)

Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyIt's like that because people generally drop more marks though. You've got to look at it both ways.(Original post by Mocking_bird)

Although, I do hope you all do really well and at least secure A grades overall (unless you're wishing to apply to the same Uni and course as me, in which case I hope you fail miserably!). -
Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyHaha, I hope you fail too(Original post by Tullia)

not that I even know where I'm applying or what I'm applying for..

Re: AQA BIOL2 ~ 21 May 2012 ~ AS BiologyI guess so but, usually if you do well in unit 1 you will do well in unit 2 so will find it a bit easier to get that higher ums(Original post by Tullia)

(I think of it like that anyway).
