TTT Training
OK so as everyone who knows me knows I haven't been training very hard lately in spite of Michael's inspirational speeches. However yesterday I watched a video of an old WWF match on youtube (Rock and Rikishi vs Big Show and HHH) and I thought "****, I'm actually nothing like The Rock." As such I have been motivated to train harder so what better time to start a training log.
For the losers who don't know me here is a brief life story.
Got interested in training aged 10 to try and be like The Rock. Adults didn't approve of me watching wrestling so I only started lifting at around 17 to impress girls or whatever (didn't work). Got into kit whore powerlifting, did a 285.5 british record squat in a Metal Pro Squatter and Titan Boss briefs at 82.5. Also have lifted 150 bench in a Katana, 250 deadlift raw. Impressed even fewer girls. Did a couple of under 90 kg strongman competitions and never came last. Also never came top 10 despite the field being 12-13 people each time. Those guys are really strong.
Gonna do some kind of split, cos why not. Today was back day
Deadlift
60x6
100x5
140x2
160x2
160x2
160x2
160x2
190x2
all with no belt, mixed grip and easy
Barbell row
60x5
80x5
80x5
85x5
90x5
95x5
all easier than I thought. maybe
Giant set of DB rows. The notation is, I did each line with left hand first then right hand, then left hand again for the next linehis is all one set basically, took a couple of minutes though
70x3
60x8
60x5
46x6
46x8
I think those numbers are right but they might not be because it was really hard. Writing it down doesn't really do it justice. The 70 kg DB is really hard to hold so that's why I didn't do many reps with it.
Good mornings
60x8
100x6
100x4
60x10
bull**** exercise, not doing these again
BTN pulldown
35x20
30x20
V grip pulldown
45x20
40x20
40x20
numbers might be wrong who cares lol
Started at just gone 2:45, finished at about 3:55 -

I'll be curious to see how this goes.
I've theorised about how I would train "bodybuilder style" for a while but never actually done it so I'm interested too. -
Re: TTT Training
If you smell... What the Nun is cookin'.
We have similar reasons for starting to train lol. I get the same problem with DB rows, just about managed to get 60x1 on the right side a week or so ago and got 50x8 pretty easily on Wednesday.
Rock's pretty lean at the moment compared to what he was a few years ago but definitely going to be watching this log.

Nice equipped lifting in the past.
I swear you've had blogs before but like Griff never continue to use them... -

Yeah the row thing is a bit annoying. Used to use straps but can't find mine now and also they get in the way if I do a giant set. Never mind, got something to improve on.

I'll hang out here.
Yeah I've had a few. I doubt this one will last either.(Original post by Motorbiker)
Recent Pbs in all lifts?

Squat 150x8
Bench.. 100x2x2 after high volume is my best lately I think :/
Push press 100 or so for a single
No other lifts I've been doing recently really I don't think. Rows but I can't remember what I've been doing.Last edited by The Troll Toll; 09-03-2012 at 20:19. -

I heard there's free blowjobs in this thread
I'm hoping to take a relaxed approach to playing in this summer. Hopefully it will be more of a hobby I do for fun than something I train towards with loads of dedication. I don't know though. Either way my training will be like this on most days I think - some strength work, then a giant set, then some pump stuff.(Original post by Smack)
Are you a footballer now? -
Re: TTT Training
A variety of reasons:
1. the barbell rows were stricter
2. when I DB row I support my body with my legs and my free arm, not just my legs, so it's less ham/lower back intensive
3. the weight part of the DB hits my chest, lowering the ROM compared to a bar hitting my chest
4. I always intended to work harder on the DB rows -
Re: TTT TrainingThat never happened.(Original post by The Troll Toll)
I kept a log for like 2 years once you know. -

I kept a log for like 2 years once you know.
Also, deciding to stalk your old posts is hilarious.
Of your started threads at least 50% were in the bin though and they were the funniest ones...
