I did some single leg glute bridges. Not sure if they're worthwhile at all but I thought why not.

Yes you are correct that no-one cares about how long a session takes. No-one cares whether you wear sleeves or not either, unless they're like double-ply or something, or you're a RAW!!11 zealot.

I think most equipment like that makes at least a slight difference so I make a note of it.

I'd be extremely surprised if it made even the slightest difference to be honest.

I've definitely worn ones which make a difference.

I always write if I use a belt because I know I get a lot of weight out of it. I also note if my PBs are belted or unbelted. If I can't do a heavier weight I will sometimes try the same weight unbelted and for me that is more of a PB that with one. I don't write about my knee sleeves or wrist supports though.

Yeah I'm just in the habit of writing down certain things. Warm up sets with the bar are one thing, and so is equipment I use. It's not that I necessarily think either of those things matter. I do think training time is actually quite a useful thing to make note of though, especially when you're training more bodybuilder style.

    Back - 1 hour exactly

    Deadlift from ~1.5" deficit
    60x5
    60x5
    100x5
    140x5
    170x5
    185x5

    Barbell row
    60x8
    90x8
    90x8
    110x5

    DB row
    60x7, 60x2, 49x5 no rest

    Lat pulldown
    50x10
    30x10
    30x10
    30x10
    30x10

Some strong-ish lifts but felt really low on energy after the deadlifts.

OK Not in a gym today, had very limited equipment in my shed. Also workout in 2 halves because my parents made me food. I had a barbell which probably weighed 40 kilos, maybe a bit less, so that is what I used for everything.

    Shoulders

    Long cycle press
    barx10, 5 sets
    much harder than it sounds

    Band face pulls
    3 sets of 15

    break

    BTN press
    barx10, 3 sets
    again, quite hard

4 sets of 10 face pulls

Lateral raises with ~12 kg, sets of 8
    2 sets on their own
2 sets supersetted with biceps, bar for 2x8
2 sets supersetted with triceps, bar for a set of 10 and a set of 12

Chest - Long session today, not enough volume to really warrant it but I was training with 2 guys I haven't seen in a while.

Bench - slightly wider than normal close grip
    20x10
    20x10
    60x5
    80x3
    100x3
    105x2
    90x7 failure
    70x10
    70x10
    70x9 failure
    1bd 70x8
    50x15

    Flys
    3x10

3x10 curls supersetted with 3x20 machine chest press

    2x10 tricep extensions

20 rep set of triceps presses to finish

Slight improvement on bench as I did a bit more work without my elbow sleeves which I'd say give me about 20-30 kg :smug:

My gym friend was resting today for a 10k race tomorrow so I couldn't use his barn. Still back day though. I finally managed to take my Husafel stone for a walk.

It is just under 100 kg but very awkward to pick up, and it cut my wrists a little bit.

The barbell is the same one I had for the shoulder workout earlier in the week.

    Good morning
    Bar x10
    Bar x10

    Stone lift from floor x1
Couldn't get it to a carrying position from the floor

    Another set of GMs

Carry from an ~8" platform, 1 turn, around 20 yards total
    2 sets

3x5 pullups. Also very uncomfortable because it is a bar placed on 2 rafters which are quite close together

    3x10 GMs

Would barely count this as a workout but it was much better than nothing.

Gym training still going a bit gay, but football is going well. Skipped a session yesterday so I did stuff today.

    Shoulders and legs

    Push press
    20x10
    20x5
    60x5
    80x3
    90x3
    90x3
    90x3
    95x2
    95x2

    Strict press
    60x8
    60x4
    60x4

    Lateral raise drop sets
    10, 7.5, 5 all for 10 reps. 2 sets

    Squats
    60x5
    60x5
    100x5
    120x15

    bleh

Haven't had a good night's sleep since I got home from uni. Also got eczema on my face which looks like ****ing face herpes. Life is going bad at the moment. Football's going OK though, like I said, so that's something.

Would you say push press supports strict press or the other way round or do they mutually support?

Had to knock down a wall today, so I skipped assistance

    Chest

    Bench
    20x10
    60x5
    80x3
    100x4
    105x2
    90x7 fail

I was doing some work on the wall between sets. Still should probably have got the 8th rep of the last set. Oh well, slow progress but progress nonetheless.

More wall knocking down, this time before training. My friend's dad (whose wall it is) bought a new hammer which is heavier and more badass than any I've used before.

    Push press
    20x10
    60x5
    80x5
    90x3
    95x3 missed 4
    85x3
    90x3

At this point I started doing band pull aparts between sets.

    Press
    70x3
    60x3
    62.5x3
    62.5x3

    Full cycle press drop set
    37.5x8
    35x5
    30x5

Upright rows and Bradford press superset, light weight, 20 reps of each. 2 sets.
