Is it just me or does anyone get the feeling that they accepted way more people that 150. Almost everyone from my school who applied got in. And, they're not even being that selective, all that stuff about getting at least 5 B's is bullcrap, my friend got predicted C for Maths and she still got a place.
My predicted is 2 A* and 7 A's and 3 B's (but I think I can get higher) and me and another friend go tput on waiting list and he is like the same as me. I think it matters on VRT and interview.

There is other criteria that they take into account. For example, where you live, which school you go to now and of course your VRT scores and how well you did in your interview.

I think I did quite well on the VRT and I live in Newham and they told us that half the people are going to be from Newham...

Well, I think it's time for me to finally reject my place. I personally don't like the risk associated with taking a leap of faith and going to a new, untested academy. I really don't feel like I can gamble my A-level education, which is pivotal for my future university and career. Besides, I've gotten a place at another college which is a much safer choice and, therefore, (for me) the better option.

I wish everyone who does enroll to this academy the best of luck.

It's good that you have made your decision but did you recieve an email about their information meetings?? They are going to fully explain all the questions people had doubts about such as the teachers. I have the same worries about you but I reckon I might go, there's no harm in finding out.

I suppose there might be truth in that, however I doubt that anything they would/could say can reduce the hesitancy I have about LAE. But I would encourage you to go to the information morning if you are inclined towards going to LAE. My comment was not meant to dissuade anyone from enrolling, just merely expressing my opinion.
