Re: Favourite place in the world?I have to agree with you there! I lived in Munich for two years, definitely moving back when I'm older! My other favourite places are Holland as a whole (my best friends are both dutch!) and Kenya... well nothing beats sitting on the outside terrace area of a tent, in the middle of the african wilderness, listening to the sounds of the animals, and watching the stars, or wallowing in an infinity pool, looking out over the bay below with dhaus going out to see, as the sun sets, or spending the day as a guest in a local village, the look on the faces of the children as we gave them a pencil melted my heart....(Original post by chavalis)
Amsterdam or Munich

England is great in its own way, but lets be honest, it's home, and theres so much more to the world than the UK really! Though I must say I loved the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, visited it at the end of a long day out to the north cost when staying in Belfast with friends, I tell you, it was raining, and getting dark, but it was the most amazing atmosphere ever, and you could imagine going back in time!
EDIT: Just seen someone posting about Antigua, I went there once too, that was also amazing, but Kenya certainly topped it, but I'll never forget hiking trough a rainforest in Antigua.Last edited by littlemissmidget123; 11-03-2012 at 00:00. -
Re: Favourite place in the world?
Maldives - simply because it looks like paradise. Palm trees, white beaches, coral reefs... The island I was staying at was really small and you could walk around it in about 20 minutes. Also the snorkeling and scuba diving was fantastic. I saw manta rays, sharks, dolphins, turtles...
Canada - the open-minded people, the landscape, the low density of population. I just love this country. I've seen everything from East coast to West coast along the US border, but I'd love to go up north to Yukon and the Northwest Territories one day.
Southern Spain (Andalucia) - it's just so laid back, the food & drinks are delicious and cheap, very nice cities, awesome nightlife.
I'm going to Mexico in 2 weeks and my expectations are really high
I hope it will make it to the list of my favourite places.
