Unconditional firm for Primary Education with QTS (English) for Kingston 2012, can't wait!
i just want to get the accommodation sorted out now and then that's it!
Firm for Fashion design! are you going into halls or private? -
Re: Kingston Firmers/Insurance 2012If i can get a place in halls, then definitely halls! I live 160 miles away from the uni, so would rather not have to have the added hassle of finding private housing! You?(Original post by ger80)

Re: Kingston Firmers/Insurance 2012I had a really awful experience of halls this year so i think private! but we will see.(Original post by sophielouise10)

Re: Kingston Firmers/Insurance 2012Well done on your offer!I have found private for cheaper and nicer by far... Halls arnt actually cheaper in most cases. I have been in halls this year in camberwell and they were far too expensive! Which campus are you in?x(Original post by kl3sh)
Whatd you all mean by private or halls? Isnt halls cheaper for first year there? :0 And i have it as firm for BSc Business Economics
And what halls are people going for?
-
Re: Kingston Firmers/Insurance 2012Halls is cheaper in the sense that you don't have to worry about bills and the amount of electricity/water etc you use. Kingston charge around £105-120 per week but that is unlimited usage. Where as when you go into a house you have to be very careful with the electric/gas you use otherwise you end up with a massive bill (spoken from experience!) and you're usually paying between £90-120 per week in rent so halls does usually work out cheaper in Kingston anyway!(Original post by kl3sh)

And it says i should appply for the one that has the cheapes of £105 a week, but does that i mean i cant apply for the Seething Wells one? :/ I want the budget en-suite
Looks small and cosy :P
But yeah, halls first year i think would be best for me :/ I live in manchester, dont want the hassle of fiinding private and i dont know how much elec/gas i'll use, probs best to stay for halls for the first yeart and then get a house with a few people so its cheaper and i know a few people around there?
Whats everyones views?
EDIT: And i applied to student fiance and the bit that says input your course... i did and the same code and on the website its a BSc Business Economics, yet Student finance seems to think its a BA Business Economics, the code for it is L1N1 :/ Is that a problem for student finance? :/ And is it a BSc or Ba then? :/ And are people here already at Kingston?
If so what's teh uni like?
Im exciittttted

It says i should apply to them both
What're you doing there as a degree?
And whch one you thinking as first option?
Penrhyn Road or Knights Park campuses are too far from business school i take it? as it says i shouldnt apply for them? :/ They're cheaper

Re: Kingston Firmers/Insurance 2012Do you have to stick to the same campus as the school is on for your chosen degree?(Original post by oh-my-diddy)
I'm a final year student at Kingston.
Let me know if you have any questions on the uni.

Re: Kingston Firmers/Insurance 2012well usually the campus in which your school is in will usually hold your lectures, so theres no need to keep travelling between campuses during the day. However, depending on your course, sometimes some of your modules may be taught in a different campus or different days may require you to go to different campuses, but i dont think this is that common.(Original post by kl3sh)

if you mean are you allowed to go to different campuses outside of lecture times, then yeah ofcourse. sometimes you might even have to because each campuse library holds different kinds of books
